Ingredients

2 teaspoons butter
3/4 lb ground beef
1/4 lb ground pork
1 cup minced onion
1/2 cup minced green pepper
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
2 eggs
1/2 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
salt & freshly ground black pepper
2 cups beef broth
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons water

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Butter a roasting pan. Mix beef, pork, onions, green peppers, garlic, eggs, cream and bread crumbs together in large mixing bowl. Season mixture with salt and pepper. Shape into a loaf and place on prepared pan. Pour broth over top and place in oven and bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, basting occasionally.
Remove pan from oven. Using long spatula, remove meat loaf from the pan. Place roasting pan on stove over high heat. In a small bowl, whisk flour with 2 tablespoons water. Whisk slurry into gravy. Bring liquid to boil and cook for a few minutes, stirring constantly. Season gravy with salt and pepper.
Slice meatloaf into 8 slices. Serve 2 slices per person with gravy.
