Tired of bread machine bread recipes coming out dry and hard? This is a foolproof method for getting perfect bread every time!

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 cup water ((very hot))
1 egg
4 tablespoons butter ((cold- not softened))
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
3 cups flour
1 tablespoon quick-rise yeast

Steps:

  • Place hot water, egg, butter, sugar, and salt in bread machine.
  • Add 3 cups flour. Make a small well in the flour and add yeast.
  • Set bread machine to "dough" for 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes) and start.
  • When dough is finished. Pour directly into a greased bread pan. If needed, gently turn the bread or tuck in the edges so the top is smooth.
  • Place bread in COLD oven and set oven to 350 degrees. Set timer for 30 minutes.
  • When finished baking, remove from oven and carefully remove bread from the pan (it's ok if it is sticky).
  • Place on a baking rack to cool and brush the top with butter. Place a towel over the bread or place in a plastic Ziplock bag to keep from drying out.
  • Serve immediately or place in a plastic Ziplock bag to keep from drying out.

How to Make Einkorn Bread in the Bread Machine Recipe - (4.5/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 7

3/4 cup (180 g) liquid, such as buttermilk, milk, kefir or water (we prefer water over non-dairy beverages in bread baking, if you are intolerant to dairy)
1/2 cup (118 g) warm water at 100°F
2 tablespoons of melted and cooled or liquid fats, such as butter, coconut oil, leaf lard, extra virgin olive oil, or sunflower oil
1 to 2 tablespoons sweetener, such as sugar, brown sugar, honey or maple syrup
1 1/4 teaspoons sea salt
1 box (1lb/454g) jovial einkorn wheat berries, ground to flour
1 1/4 teaspoons dry active yeast

Steps:

  • 1.Add the liquids, fats, sweetener, and salt to the loaf pan. 2.Place the flour on top of the liquids. 3.Make a shallow well in the center of the flour and add the yeast. 4.Set and start the custom cycle for einkorn bread as indicated above. Because einkorn is very sticky, the dough may be more likely to stick to the sides of the pan during kneading, resulting in a lopsided bread. If you are home, you can scrape down the sides as needed with a spatula before baking. 5.Once the cycle is complete, remove the pan from the machine and allow the loaf to cool for 5 minutes. 6.Turn out the bread on a cooling rack and allow to cool for 1-2 hours before slicing. Slicing warm einkorn bread is not recommended.
