I just kind of made up this meatloaf from combinations of several recipes. It is so good. Even my picky son said it was good.

1 lb extra lean ground beef
1 egg
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion flakes
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
3 slices processed cheese
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Mix together all ingredients except cheese slices.
  • Bake at 375% for one hour.
  • For last 5 minutes, top with the cheese slices to melt.
  • Let stand for a couple of minutes for easy slicing.

Delicious Beef & Pork Meatloaf with a Chili Flavoured Twist. Inspired by recipes by Nita Holleman & Kittencal

Number Of Ingredients 13

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
1 onion, diced
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup corn flake crumbs
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon fresh minced garlic (or use 1-1/2 teaspoons garlic powder)
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon garlic plus seasoning
4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 -4 tablespoons brown sugar, packed firm (to taste)
1/2 cup ketchup

Steps:

  • Set oven to 350°F.
  • Prepare a 9 x 5-inch baking pan and a baking sheet covered with foil to place underneath to catch any drippings.
  • In small mixing bowl add the eggs, milk, garlic, Worcestershire sauce & Garlic Plus seasoning, stirring constantly until blended well.
  • Using a large mixing bowl, dump in the mixed ingredients from the small bowl and add the diced onion, corn flake crumbs and chili sauce, mixing well.
  • The apple cider vinegar, brown sugar and ketchup are for the sauce. DON'T mix them in with meatloaf.
  • Last, using clean hands mix the beef and pork into the bowl, continuing until all ingredients are well combined.
  • Pack the mixture into prepared pan.
  • Place the pan on a foil-lined baking sheet to catch any spills.
  • Bake for 1 hour.
  • While baking, mix together the apple cider vinegar, brown sugar and ketchup for the sauce.
  • After the 1 hour of baking, remove the meat loaf (at this point you can carefully drain off some of the fat if desired) and spread the sauce over the top.
  • Place back in the oven and bake for another 20-30 minutes, or until the meat loaf is pulling away from the sides of the pan. (Meatloaf should be 140°F at centre.).
  • Enjoy!

cooking spray
1 pound ground beef
½ cup chopped onion
½ cup rolled oats
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
¾ cup milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
⅔ cup ketchup
½ cup brown sugar
1 ½ teaspoons dry mustard

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Stir ground beef, onion, oats, Cheddar cheese, milk, egg, and salt together in a bowl; mix well. Divide meat mixture into 8 equal portions and form each into a loaf shape. Place loaves in prepared baking dish.
  • Stir ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard together in a bowl until smooth. Spread ketchup mixture over meat loaves.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until no longer pink in the center, about 40 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).

Savory and moist, this is a favorite with friends and family that I created and have tweaked a little over the years. Try it, you'll like it.

2 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 1/4 lbs hot Italian turkey sausage
1 teaspoon salt
pepper
2 eggs
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 onions, coarsely chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
10 -12 leaves fresh basil, coarsely chopped
3 -4 sprigs fresh oregano, stripped from stem
1 cup pasta sauce with mushrooms
0.5 (10 ounce) bag fresh spinach
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • Assemble all ingredients.
  • In large bowl, combine.
  • ground beef.
  • turkey sausages (with casings removed).
  • salt & pepper.
  • Combine in blender:.
  • eggs, water, onions, garlic, 1 cup sauce.
  • Pulse on & off until chopped (not pureed).
  • Add to meats in large bowl.
  • Rinse spinach, microwave for 30 seconds
  • Remove and coarsely chop.
  • Add to bowl
  • Note: you can use 10 oz. package spinach.
  • drained, water squeezed out.
  • Add bread crumbs and parmesan cheese
  • (for this meatloaf I use storebought).
  • Mix all ingredients together well.
  • Spray cookie pan with rim (also known as a jelly roll pan) with nonstick spray. Then line with aluminum foil (for easy cleanup and to protect pan).
  • FORM 3 meatloaves about the same size each,.
  • and place on pan so they are not touching.
  • BAKE at 400°F for 20 minutes,.
  • then turn down oven to 350°F and continue to cook for 25-30 minutes longer.
  • Remove from oven and try real hard to wait 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

2 lbs ground beef
1/3 large onion, diced
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon steak sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 beaten eggs
3/4 cup milk
3 pieces bread, torn into small pieces
1/3 cup ketchup
seasoning
2/3 cup ketchup
4 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
4 teaspoons dry mustard

Steps:

  • Brown meat with onion. Drain fat.
  • Add worchestershire and steak sauce.
  • Beat eggs and add to milk.
  • Remove meat from heat and add eggs, milk, ketchup, and bread.
  • Mix well, then sprinkle in brown sugar and mix until melted.
  • Put into two bread pans about 3/4 the way full.
  • Bake 45 minutes at 350°F.
  • Spoon sauce on top of cooked meatloaf and bake extra 10 minutes.

Try on grilled burgers or chicken, too! Makes about 1/4 cup. From the 1995 "Heart Healthy Cookbook" of delicious healthy recipes, Edina, MN. This is very similar to the topping I use on my own meatloaf I have posted (recipe #53831), except it uses ground nutmeg. I can't wait to give it a try.
