The addictive pink restaurant-style sweet and sour dipping sauce for egg rolls. It only takes a few minutes to make some!

Ingredients

1/2 c sugar
1/2 c white vinegar
1/2 c maraschino cherry juice
1/2 c pineapple juice
1 1/2 Tbsp cornstarch
1/4 c cold water

Steps:

1. Mix the sugar, vinegar, maraschino cherry juice and pineapple juice in a saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
2. Place the cornstarch in a small bowl, and stir the water into it to make a smooth paste. Stir the cornstarch paste into the juice mixture, and bring to a simmer. Stir constantly until the mixture thickens, about 1 minute.

1 (7 ounce) jar marshmallow creme
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
3 tablespoons maraschino cherry juice
10 maraschino cherries, chopped (or more)

Steps:

In a bowl, add the marshmallow creme and cream cheese; mix until well blended (adding cherry juice gradually to help blend).
Stir in the chopped maraschino cherries.
Serve immediately with fresh fruit, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Note: Serve with cantaloupe, honey dew, seedless red and green grapes, fresh pineapple, strawberries and watermelon.

250 g Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
1 tablespoon milk
1/2 cup maraschino cherry, drained & chopped
1 tablespoon cherry syrup (from the can or jar)
1/4 cup slivered almonds

Steps:

Beat softened cream cheese until smooth, blend in milk.
Add cherries, syrup & almonds, mix well and chill.
Serve with cracker biscuits or fresh fruit or spread on bagels.

Make sure that the cream cheese is soft. Leave it set on the counter an hour and it should be soft enough.
In a large mixing bowl, add the cream cheese, diced celery, onion, and mix with a spoon by hand.
Once that is mixed, then add the diced maraschino cherries. I just find by doing this, the cherries hold up better to the mixing.
Once mixed, place on a plate or in a nice serving bowl. Enjoy with crackers, baguettes, or another delicious cracker.
