This is a quick and easy salmon dish that my entire family loves. Leftovers can be made into an interesting salmon salad.

½ cup maple syrup
¼ cup Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon minced fresh thyme
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 pounds salmon fillets
kosher salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon canola oil, or as needed

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • Combine maple syrup, Dijon mustard, thyme, and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Season salmon with salt and pepper. Heat canola oil in a large oven-proof saute pan over medium heat. Cook salmon until browned, about 3 minutes. Flip and brush surface generously with maple syrup mixture. Cook until bottom is browned, about 3 minutes more.
  • Transfer to the preheated oven and bake until salmon flakes easily with a fork, 5 to 10 minutes more.

4 (4 ounce) fillets salmon fillets
¼ cup melted butter
¼ cup maple syrup
4 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon soy sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Place salmon in the bottom of an 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • Mix melted butter, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, and soy sauce together in a bowl. Pour over salmon, reserving some sauce to pour over baked salmon.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until salmon flakes easily with a fork, about 12 minutes.
  • Remove salmon from the oven and spoon reserved sauce on top.

3-1/2 teaspoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
3/4 teaspoon ground mustard
2 tablespoons canola oil
2 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs

Steps:

  • In a blender, combine the vinegar, sugar and mustards; cover and process until smooth. While processing, gradually add oil in a steady stream. , Place salmon, skin side down, in a greased 8-in. square baking dish. Sprinkle with thyme, salt and pepper., Spread mustard mixture over fillets; gently press bread crumbs on top. Bake, uncovered, at 375° for 20-25 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork.

1/2 cup country-style dijon mustard
4 1/2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
3 1/2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
6 (8 ounce) salmon fillets
1 1/2 tablespoons packed golden brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh thyme

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Whisk mustard, 3 TBS maple syrup, 3 1/2 TBS water, and horseradish in small bowl to blend.
  • Arrange salmon on baking sheet.
  • Whisk 1 1/2 TBS maple syrup, sugar and thyme in another small bowl to blend.
  • Spread thyme mixture evenly over salmon.
  • Bake until salmon is just opaque in center, about 14 minutes.
  • Transfer salmon to plates.
  • Spoon mustard-horseradish sauce over and serve.
  • Serves 6.

1/3 cup pure maple syrup
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
4 boneless atlantic salmon fillet, about 1 1/4 lbs
6 cups Baby Spinach
1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil
salt and pepper, to taste (optional)

Steps:

  • In a shallow glass dish, whisk maple syrup, mustard, thyme, garlic and pepper together.
  • Place salmon fillets in dish and turn to coat.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 8 hours.
  • Place salmon on parchment paper lined baking sheet and spoon some of remaining marinade over top.
  • Roast in 425F oven for about 15 minutes or until fish flakes when tested with fork.

2 pounds salmon, rinsed and patted dry with paper towels
2 tablespoons coarse (country style) Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons real maple syrup
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400ºF. If desired, line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean up.
  • Place salmon on prepared baking sheet. In a small bowl, combine mustard, maple syrup, olive oil, salt, paprika, and pepper. Spoon about half of this mixture over the salmon in an even layer.
  • Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and spoon on the rest of the maple mustard mixture.
  • Return to oven and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes or until an instant read thermometer reads 145ºF and fish flakes easily with a fork. (An internal temperature of 145ºF is my personal preference for salmon, but feel free to cook it to whatever temperature you like!). Enjoy immediately!

One 2-pound center-cut wild salmon fillet, skin on
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons maple syrup
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Spray a parchment-lined casserole dish with nonstick spray and lay the salmon in it skin-side down.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the mustard, maple syrup, olive oil, thyme and cumin. Pour the mixture over the salmon, spreading to coat it evenly.
  • Bake until just cooked through, 12 to 15 minutes. Transfer the salmon to a serving platter.

0 1 teaspoon cider vinegar
0 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh thyme leaves
0 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
0 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
0 4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets, skin on
0 Olive oil, for oiling the grill and the fish
0 Kosher salt
0 Freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium high (about 375°F to 425°F).
  • Meanwhile, place all of the glaze ingredients in a medium oven-safe frying pan and whisk until combined.
  • When the grill is ready, place the frying pan on the grill, cover the grill, and cook until the glaze just comes to a boil, about 3 to 4 minutes. Using a hot pad or dry towel, remove the pan from the grill; set aside.
  • Pat the salmon dry with paper towels. Brush both sides of the fillets with vegetable oil and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  • Rub the grill grates with a towel dipped in oil. Place the salmon on the grill skin-side down, cover the grill, and cook undisturbed until grill marks appear and the skin is starting to crisp, about 2 to 3 minutes. Using a flat spatula, carefully flip the fillets over and brush the skin with some of the glaze. Cover the grill and continue to cook until the salmon is just opaque in the center, about 2 to 4 minutes more. Transfer to a serving plate and serve immediately, passing the remaining glaze on the side.
