SPICY CHICKEN DRUMMETTES

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 stick of margarine
1/2 cup Texas Pete Hot Sauce (or other comparable hot sauce)
1 package powdered ranch dressing mix
2 pounds chicken drummettes (baby chicken legs)
1 cup blue cheese dressing
celery stalks to accompany

Steps:

  • Melt margarine in saucepan. Add 1/2 cup Texas Pete Hot Sauce.
  • Rinse and dry drummettes. Dip chicken in hot sauce mixture. Roll them in powdered Ranch dressing mix.
  • Spread onto baking sheet. Bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Serve with celery and blue cheese dressing.

A super simple way to marinate mini drummettes for the kids. Great for OAMC as you can marinate & then freeze for later.

500 g chicken drummettes
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon apricot jam
1 tablespoon water
1 garlic clove, crushed

Steps:

  • Remove skin from drummettes.
  • Combine remaining ingredients and marinate chicken for 2 hours.
  • Bake at 200.C on a lightly greased tray for 45 minutes.

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 cup flour
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons paprika
1 dash pepper
5 tablespoons sesame seeds
1/4-1/2 cup chopped macadamia nuts
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup milk
2 lbs chicken drummettes
1/2 cup butter, melted

Steps:

  • Line a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan with foil; set aside.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, paprika, pepper, sesame seeds, and macadamia nuts; set aside.
  • In another bowl, combine egg and milk.
  • Dip chicken in egg mixture then roll in flour mixture.
  • Place chicken into prepared pan; drizzle with melted butter.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
  • Turn chicken over and bake for another 30 minutes.
