1 lb boneless, skinless, chopped chicken
2 tbsp vegetable oil
½ cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp plus more to taste salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp unsalted butter
½ cup chopped celery
1 cup of your choice, preferably a mix of colors, chopped bell peppers
½ cup chopped green bell pepper
½ cup chopped red onion
2 tbsp packed brown sugar
1 cup ketchup
1 cup chicken broth
2 cups per serving steamed rice
¼ tsp per serving green onion

Steps:

  • Combine flour, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Dredge your chicken in this flour mixture, pat to remove any excess, and set aside.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan. Add chicken and saute for roughly 5 to 7 minutes until golden brown.
  • Add celery, peppers, and onions. Saute until translucent.
  • Add butter, sugar, ketchup, and chicken broth. Mix well.
  • Bring this to a simmer and continue simmering for about 30 minutes, or until chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has reduced by half.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper. Adjust accordingly.
  • Garnish with green onions and serve with rice.

2 teaspoons olive oil
6 ounces chicken tenderloin strips
¼ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
1 ½ teaspoons honey
1 ½ teaspoons balsamic vinegar, or more to taste

Steps:

  • Heat olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook and stir chicken in the hot oil until chicken is no longer pink in the center, about 3 to 5 minutes. Stir basil, honey, and balsamic vinegar into chicken and cook for 1 more minute.

5 lbs chicken
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion flakes
1 teaspoon chopped rosemary
2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons sea salt

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all ingredients together.
  • 2. Rinse chicken and pat dry.
  • 3. Dust each peice of chicken heavily with seasoned flour mixture.
  • 4. Let floured chicken parts sit on a rack for approximately 15 to 20 minutes to allow coating to adhere.
  • 5. Begin to fry chicken, being sure not to crowd the fryer at 315 degrees for 12 minutes, flipping at six minutes.

This recipe is my families favorite one.I got it off of a show 20 years ago and its so good.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 pkg chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
1 c all purpose flour
3 Tbsp brown sugar
dash(es) salt and pepper
1 c cooking oil
3 c ketchup
1 stick butter, melted
1 small red bell pepper
1 small green bell pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Cut up chicken into chunks, heat up the oil in a frying pan, in a bowl mix the flour, brown sugar, salt & pepper. Coat the chicken pieces in it. Fry it up till it's golden and place on paper towels to dry. Chop up the bell peppers. Melt the butter and sauté the bell peppers, add the chicken and the ketchup to the peppers. Cook on medium high heat until it starts to bubble stirring often. Cover and lower heat. Cook for 30 minutes more. I serve this over rice..
