- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Line a 13 x 9 baking pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, ketchup, water, and onion soup mix
- Add the ground beef and breadcrumbs, and mix thoroughly until just combined
- Place mixture in the baking pan, pressing down lightly
- Bake on the middle rack of the oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until the middle reaches at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit
- Let it stand for 10-15 minutes before removing from the pan and serving
- Toss the bread and other ingredients together, then bake in a 400-degree oven for about 10 minutes, or until the breadcrumbs are golden and dry. Crumble/crush the breadcrumbs to the desired consistency.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Line quarter baking sheet or 9 x 13 inch pan with parchment paper or foil (for easy clean up)
- In large mixing bowl, mix together all ingredients except ground meat.
- Add in ground meat (beef or meatloaf mix). With clean hands, mix gently until the meatloaf just comes together. Don't over mix, as this will produce a tough meatloaf. Don't forget to wash your hands with soap and water once you've got the meatloaf shaped on the pan!
- "Pour" meatloaf into the prepared pan and shape into a loaf.
- Bake in oven for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F. If ketchup topping is desired, spoon on a layer of ketchup 10 minutes before the meatloaf is done and return to the oven to finish cooking.
- Allow 15 minutes, with meatloaf tented with foil, to cool before slicing.

- Meatloaf ... Add the Onion Soup Mix to a large bowl along with the ketchup, eggs, bread crumbs, milk, and water. Mix well to combine. Then add the meat and gently mix until combined with the other ingredients; over mixing can create a dense tough meatloaf.
- Bake ... I prefer to free form on a baking sheet lined with parchment or foil, but you can always use a loaf pan. Bake on the middle shelf at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hr. This will depend on what type of pan you cook the meatloaf in. A free form loaf usually cooks quicker than one in a loaf pan.
- Topping ... If using a jar gravy, add the ketchup and gravy to a small pot and reheat on medium low heat. You can also use a package mix, follow the package directions, and add the ketchup at the end of cooking.
- About 15 minutes before the loaf is done, spoon on a little of the gravy on top of the loaf, then finish cooking in the oven. The rest over the gravy will be poured over the top when you serve it. Also, if you prefer to use your favorite tomato based sauce, please do so.
