Ingredients

1 c self rising flour
2 c self rising corn meal
3 onions, grated, keep juice
3 eggs
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
buttermilk

Steps:

1. Mix everything with enough buttermilk to make a batter. Let sit for 30 minutes.
2. Drop by spoonfuls into deep fryer. Cook until golden brown.
