Time P1DT5m

Number Of Ingredients 5

Room Temperature drinking water
Dry Lemon
Dry Berries Leaves
Dry Lavender
Dry Peppermint Leaves

Steps:

  • Prepare all the dry leaves, berries, or herbs you plan to infuse. In our case, it is lemon, peppermint, lavender, and berries. Prepare a clean mason jar with the lid for each of the flavors.
  • Place your dry teas into the mason jar or any glass jar. Each of the herbs should have a separate jar. Make sure you have a lid for each.
  • Once all of the teas are in jars, add drinking water. If tap water is drinkable, it is perfect otherwise, pour bottled water.
  • Fully close each jar and start with the steeping, infusing, and cold brewing process. For a bit stronger concentration, keep the jars on the kitchen counter for an hour and place them into the fridge later. Keep in the refrigerator for 8 to 9 hours, best overnight.
  • Once your infused teas are fully cold-brewed, strain each one and store them in clean jars in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.

BLUEBERRY-LEMONADE ICED TEA

Blueberry-Lemonade Iced Tea image

This is "the best" blueberry-lemonade iced tea I've ever had. Frozen (unsweetened) blueberries, Ocean Spray's Blueberry Juice Cocktail, sugar-free lemonade flavored drink mix and water, are the ingredients needed to make this tea. Note: prep time includes steeping the tea.

Provided by Cindi M Bauer

Categories     < 4 Hours

Time 1h25m

Yield 56 ounces

Number Of Ingredients 5

16 ounces frozen unsweetened frozen blueberries (purchased from Aldi's)
4 cups water
10 orange & black pekoe flavored tea bags (purchased from Aldi's)
3 cups blueberry juice (Ocean Spray Blueberry Juice Cocktail)
1 (1/2 ounce) container sugar-free lemonade-flavored drink mix (purchased from Aldi's)

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, add the frozen blueberries, and the water.
  • Bring water to a boil; stir once or twice while waiting for the water to come to a boil.
  • After the water comes to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer, cover the pan, and simmer the berries for 10 minutes.
  • Remove pan from the heat, and strain the water/blueberries.
  • Add the tea bags to the pan, cover the pan, and steep the tea for 1 hour.
  • Remove the tea bags from the pan, and strain the tea twice.
  • Pour the blueberry-tea into a heat proof glass pitcher.
  • To the pitcher, add one tub of the sugar-free lemonade flavored drink mix, and give the mixture a good stir.
  • Add the blueberry juice to the pitcher, and stir.
  • At this point you can immediately serve the tea in a glass filled with ice, or you can chill the tea in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

LEMONADE ICED TEA

Lemonade Iced Tea image

I make at least a gallon of this every day. Simple and satisfying. My husband has to have his sweet tea, so this cuts back the calories and stretches those little tubs. For those who don't use sugar substitutes, I have also made it with lemonade flavored kool aid and sugar- the ice cool lemonade flavor goes great in it.

Provided by Random Rachel

Categories     Beverages

Time 5m

Yield 12 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 3

3 regular tea bags (orange pekoe and black)
1 (1/2 ounce) container sugar-free lemonade-flavored drink mix (Crystal Light, etc.)
1 gallon water, divided

Steps:

  • Bring 2-3 cups of water to a boil. Pour into gallon size pitcher, add tea bags and steep for 5-10 minutes, to taste. (I have left it overnight before; leave it as long as you like, the longer it steeps the stronger it gets, but 10 minutes is sufficient.).
  • Remove tea bags, and add the lemonade mix. Top with cold water and ice to fill the pitcher. I usually don't have ice, and just chill it a few hours in my fridge.

LEMONADE FLAVORED ICED TEA

Lemonade Flavored Iced Tea image

I made this Lemonade Flavored Iced Tea for many years. You can use either granulated sugar to sweeten it, or use packets of Saccharin Sweetener to sweeten it up. I also add a packet of Lemonade Flavored Kool-Aid, to give it that lemon flavor. Surprisingly, it tastes very good!

Provided by Cindi M Bauer @DomesticGoddess

Categories     Other Drinks

Number Of Ingredients 4

8 cup(s) water, divided
10 - regular size tea bags, (see *note)
1 cup(s) sugar (or 24 packets of saccharin sweetener)
1 - (0.23 oz.) packet unsweetened lemonade flavored kool-aid

Steps:

  • Place 10 tea bags in a 2-quart size pitcher.
  • In a medium size saucepan, bring 4 cups of water, all most to a boil. Remove pan from heat, as soon as you see bubbles start to come to the surface.
  • Pour the hot water over the tea bags in a pitcher.
  • Cover, and let the tea steep for 1 hour on your kitchen counter.
  • Remove tea bags from pitcher, and carefully squeeze the tea bags to remove excess liquid into the pitcher.
  • Stir in the granulated sugar or Saccharin Sweetener. Then add the remaining 4 cups of water, and the packet of Lemonade Flavored Kool-Aid, and stir.
  • Refrigerate the Lemonade Flavored Tea until it is chilled.
  • Serve lemonade/tea over ice cubes in a glass.
  • Yields: 2-quarts of lemonade flavored tea
  • Note: For this recipe, I used Lipton's Decaffeinated Black Tea Bags.

  • The first step is to prepare the lemon and basil infused ice cubes. I like to place the herbs and zest in an ice cube tray first, then top with water. You may have to coax them down so they aren't all floating. If you use bottled water, the ice cubes come out crystal clear!
  • For the orange cubes, just use orange segments and top with water. Allow to freeze for several hours.
  • Once the brewed tea has had time to cool, add to a large pitcher and top off with enough cold water to fill 3/4 full.
