Everyone thinks I've gone to a lot of trouble when making this refreshing summer drink, but it's so easy! I also like to make my own pretty ice cubes by adding 1/2 cup lemon juice and a mint sprig to 4 cups water.-Bonnie Hawkins, Elkhorn, Wisconsin

Yield 8 servings (2 quarts).

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 cups white grape juice
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 bottle (1 liter) club soda, chilled
Ice cubes
Assorted fresh fruit, optional

Steps:

  • In a pitcher, combine the grape juice, sugar and lemon juice; stir until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate until chilled. , Just before serving, stir in club soda. Serve over ice. Garnish with fruit if desired.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1/4 cup butter, softened
2 tablespoons canola oil
3/4 cup sugar
1 large egg, room temperature
1 large egg white, room temperature
1/4 cup thawed lemonade concentrate
2 teaspoons grated lemon zest
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon yellow decorating sugar

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat the butter, oil and sugar. Beat in the egg, egg white, lemonade concentrate and lemon zest. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda; gradually add to egg mixture. , Using a cookie press fitted with the disk of your choice, press dough 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Sprinkle with yellow sugar. Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.

This is one of my favorite cookies. Sometimes I add some of the lemonade powder to the cookie dough and add more to the powdered sugar to make them very lemony.

Number Of Ingredients 11

1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup shortening
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups cake flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon water
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon kool aid unsweetened lemonade mix

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325°.
  • In a large bowl, cream together: sugars, shortening, egg, vanilla and salt.
  • Add the flour and baking powder.
  • Add 1 Tbsp of water and continue mixing until dough forms a ball.
  • Roll dough into 3/4-inch balls and flatten slightly onto a lightly greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes or until light brown.
  • While cookies bake combine 1 cup powdered sugar with the lemonade powder in a large ziploc bag and shake to mix.
  • Remove cookies from the oven and put them in the ziploc bag while they are still hot, shake until all cookies are coated.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Mix together cake mix, whipped topping and egg. Drop by teaspoonfuls into bowl of confectioners' sugar and coat. Shape into balls.

1 (18.25 ounce) package lemon cake mix
1 cup hot water
1 cup cold water
2 (3 ounce) packages lemon flavored Jell-O® mix
1 cup milk
1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

Steps:

  • Prepare cake and bake according to package directions in a 9x13 inch baking dish. With a fork, poke holes all over top of cake.
  • Combine 1 cup hot water and 1 cup cold water with one package of lemon gelatin. Stir until gelatin is dissolved, and pour mixture over cake. Chill in refrigerator until cool.
  • In large bowl stir together milk, vanilla pudding mix and remaining package of lemon gelatin until powders are dissolved. Fold in whipped topping and spread mixture over cake. Refrigerate until serving.

Remove the cookies from the bag, shaking off excess powdered sugar, and allow them to finish cooling on a wire rack. Repeat until all of the cookies are coated with powdered sugar.
