Pico de gallo, so delicious on its own, gets dressed up with cream cheese and chopped avocados in this party-perfect layered dip.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350ºF.
- Spread cream cheese onto bottom of 9-inch pie plate; top with shredded cheese.
- Bake 10 min. or until dip is heated through and shredded cheese is melted.
- Top with remaining ingredients.

- Begin by throwing the refried beans into a small pan over medium-low heat. Add several dashes of Tabasco sauce and a small can of (undrained) diced green chilies. Stir well. Next, sprinkle a little bit of ground Cumin. Spread the beans on the bottom of a glass bowl or high-sided dish. Over this sprinkle the sharp cheddar. Next, plop your sour cream. And spread it into a single layer, being careful not to disturb the cheese underneath.The next layer is the guacamole. Spread it over the sour cream. Follow this with a layer of Monterey Jack Cheese and a nice sprinkling of chopped black olives. Lastly, place a generous layer of Pico de Gallo. You can also, if you have the gumption for it, sprinkle some diced jalapenos over top.Enjoy!

- For the tomato layer, in a medium bowl, combine tomatoes, jalapeno, cilantro, minced green onions, and lime juice. Stir in salt and let stand until tomatoes begin to soften, about 30 minutes. Strain mixture through a fine mesh strainer or colander and discard the liquid. Set aside.
- For the guacamole, in a small bowl, combine the white parts of the green onions, jalapeno, garlic and lime juice. Let sit for 30 minutes. Quickly rinse and wipe out the food processor and pulse the sour cream, 1 cup pepper jack cheese cheese and 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese until smooth. Dollop the sour cream mixture on top of the black bean layer, smoothing to the edges in an even layer.
- Sprinkle evenly with remaining cheese. Spread guacamole over cheese and top with tomato mixture. Sprinkle with additional sliced green onions, if desired, and serve with tortilla chips. The dip can be tightly covered and refrigerated for up to 24 hours.

- Start the first layer of the 5 Layer Dip by draining and rinsing the can of black beans, then put them in a covered pot with a smidge of water on low.
- Once the beans are cool add layer #2, the sour cream. Just scoop it out and spread it over the beans. It kind of reminded me of icing a cake. For clearly defined layers be sure to completely cover each layer with the next.

- Layer #5 of the 5 Layer Dip is cheese. I shredded up some white cheddar for my dip because it’s full of flavor and pairs with the other ingredients nicely.
