JERRY'S SUGARED PECANS
Trisha Yearwood's candied pecans from Food Network are a perfect treat for your holiday party.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with sides with aluminum foil. Pour the butter onto the lined sheet. In a large bowl, mix the egg whites, sugar and cinnamon. Add the pecan halves and toss until they are fully coated. Spread the pecans onto the baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes, stirring the pecans every 10 minutes. Cool on the baking sheet for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
KRISTI'S SUGARED PECANS
This recipe was given to me by a dear friend, Kristi Olivieri. She brought me in a bag of these to the office one day during the Holiday time. I shared them with the girls at the office and brought the rest home to my husband who absolutely loved them. Kristi says: "Great paired with a glass of wine. Also great for gift giving." Steps:
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Bake pecans on cookie sheet for 30 minutes. Remove pecans from pan, and put butter on cookie sheet.
- Increase the oven temperature to 300 degrees F. Melt butter on cookie sheet in oven.
- Beat egg whites until they form soft peaks. Slowly add sugar and salt, while continuing to beat. Beat until egg whites thicken. Fold in pecans.
- Spread mixture evenly on the cookie sheet with butter. Bake in 300 degree F oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Cool pecans. Serve. Store in airtight container.

These sweet pecans are wonderful snacks for any occasion.

- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C). Grease one baking sheet.
- In a mixing bowl, whip together the egg white and water until frothy. In a separate bowl, mix together sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add pecans to egg whites, stir to coat the nuts evenly. Remove the nuts, and toss them in the sugar mixture until coated. Spread the nuts out on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake at 250 degrees F (120 degrees C) for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes.

My grandma makes these every year for the holidays. It's always handy to make extra for later snacking! They are relatively quick and easy to make and taste wonderful. I love the smell of these when they're in the oven.

- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
- Beat egg white in a large bowl with an electric mixer until frothy. Add pecans to egg white and stir until evenly coated.
- Mix sugar, cinnamon, and salt together in a separate bowl; add to pecans and stir until coated. Spread coated pecans onto a baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven until fragrant and crisp, about 25 minutes.

- Preheat the oven to 350.
- In a large bowl, toss the pecans with the sugar, cayenne, melted butter and egg white.
- Place on parchment-lined baking sheet and bake, shaking and tossing 2 to 3 times during cooking, until pecans are golden brown, about 20 minutes altogether.

These are sooooo good! I used to love them when I was able to eat nuts! Now I just make them for the holidays for everyone else to enjoy.

Steps:
- 1. Stir sugar, salt, and cinnamon into a bowl.
- 2. In second bowl, beat egg whites and water until fluffy, not stiff.
- 3. Add pecans and stir until coated.
- 4. Pour sugar mixture over pecans and stir again until coated with sugar mixture.
- 5. Spread on cookie sheet and bake at 300 degrees for 30-45 minutes. Stir every 10-15 minutes.
- 6. When done, let pecans cool a few minutes, then remove to a large piece of wax paper and finish cooling.
- 7. Break apart large pieces that are stuck together. Store covered when completely cooled.
