4 cups frozen fruit
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 Tablespoons honey

Steps:

  • In the bowl of a food processor, combine the frozen fruit, Greek yogurt, vanilla extract and honey. Process the mixture until it is creamy, about 5 minutes. (See Kelly's Notes.)
  • Serve the frozen yogurt immediately or transfer it to an airtight container and freeze it until ready to serve.

This homemade frozen yogurt requires no ice cream maker. It's truly easy to make, and it's so creamy and delicious.

2 cups Greek yogurt (plain, full fat)
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Place the yogurt, honey and vanilla in your food processor's bowl.
  • Process to incorporate, stopping once to scrape the sides of the bowl, then process 1 more minute, until light and fluffy. You can also whisk by hand, but do so for several minutes until smooth and fluffy.
  • Using a spatula, transfer the mixture to a square 9-inch glass baking dish. Cover with cling wrap, and freeze for 45 minutes.
  • Remove the pan from the freezer. Use a rubber spatula to stir the already-frozen edges into the still-soft center, then spread evenly again.
  • Cover again, and place in the freezer for 2 more hours, repeating the process of stirring the yogurt every 30 minutes.
  • When the entire mixture is frozen, serve immediately as a soft-serve yogurt (use chilled bowls), or freeze 1-2 more hours for a firmer consistency that you can scoop out with an ice cream scoop.
  • If you end up storing the frozen yogurt for longer than that (say, overnight or a couple of days - I doubt it will last longer), remove it from the freezer 30 minutes before serving, to allow it to soften.

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Stir the yogurt, sugar, and vanilla extract together until the sugar has dissolved. Cover. Refrigerate 1 hour.
  • Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's directions until it reaches "soft-serve" consistency. Transfer to a one- or two-quart plastic container with a lid; cover surface with plastic wrap and seal. For best results, frozen yogurt should ripen in the freezer for at least 2 hours or overnight.

1 (8 ounce) container plain yogurt
1/3 cup sugar (or to taste)
1 cup pureed fruit (your choice)

6 envelopes Equal sugar substitute or 6 envelopes other no calorie powdered artificial sweetener

Steps:

  • Blend all ingredients together until smooth.
  • Chill mixture (about 1-2 hours).
  • Pour chilled mixture into your ice cream machine and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.

1 32 oz container of greek yogurt (full fat or low fat are fine)1
1/3 cup raw honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
optional: 1/2 cup of fresh or frozen berries, 1 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder (for chocolate-flavored), or add-ins of choice

Steps:

  • In a large bowl combine all ingredients.
  • Place mixed ingredients into your ice cream maker (I use the KitchenAid ice cream attachment)
  • Mix for 35-40 minutes or until consistency is reached with your ice cream maker.
  • Freeze for 2 hours.
  • Remove for 1-2 minutes before serving

This frozen yogurt was inspired by the Korean traditional dessert, baesuk. (Traditional baesuk is peeled and sliced Korean pear cooked in water with black peppercorns, ginger and sugar, then garnished with ground pine nuts.) This frozen version of baesuk substitutes the creaminess of pine nuts with the smooth texture of yogurt.

2 korean pears
1/2 cup sugar
16 ounces Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 -2 teaspoon ginger juice
1 dash lemon juice

Steps:

  • First begin by peeling two Korean pears (aka Asian pears) and chopping into small pieces. Place the pear pieces together with a dash of lemon juice into a blender with just enough water as was necessary to grind them to a smooth mixture.
  • Combine 16 oz of Greek yogurt (rBGH free) together with the Korean pear mixture and 1/2 cup sugar in the ice cream maker.
  • While the mixture is churning in an ice cream maker, add 1-2 tsp ginger juice. Also add 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.
  • After 30 mins of churning, the frozen baesuk yogurt will be ready to freeze in a freezer. Place into a plastic container and allow to freeze for at least four hours before serving.

  • In a bowl, place the youghurt, cream, lemon juice and mix well until smooth. Add the sweetener of your choice until it is slightly sweeter than what you'd prefer (because when frozen, it becomes a little less sweet).
  • Place strawberries in a saucepan with other ingredients. On low-medium heat, heat the strawberries until soft and the sugar has dissolved. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes and then puree the fruits in a blender or food processor. Set aside to cool completely.
