KIM'S BURGER BAKED BEANS



Kim's Burger Baked Beans image

My Mom used to make this recipe, and at the time, I wanted no part of a green pepper. But later when my sister made it for picnics and other gatherings, I tried it and loved it!

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 pound(s) ground beef
1 small onion, chopped fine
1 small green pepper, chopped fine
3 can(s) (16 oz ea) plain baked beans
2/3 cup(s) brown sugar
2 teaspoon(s) mustard
2 tablespoon(s) worchestershire sauce
1/2 cup(s) ketchup

Steps:

  • Place the ground beef, onions, and peppers in a large pan and brown, stirring often and breaking up beef into small bits. Remove from heat and drain.
  • Add the beans and remaining ingredients and stir together for 2-3 minutes until well blended.
  • Pour mixture into a baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Not your usual baked beans! Green chiles and hot pepper sauce give zest to these eat-'em up sweet-and-hot baked beans.

1 pound ground beef
4 (16 ounce) cans baked beans with pork
1 (4 ounce) can canned chopped green chile peppers
1 small Vidalia onion, peeled and chopped
1 cup barbeque sauce
½ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon chili powder
3 tablespoons hot pepper sauce (e.g. Tabasco™), or to taste

Steps:

  • In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink; drain fat, and set aside.
  • In a 3 1/2 quart or larger slow cooker, combine the ground beef, baked beans, green chiles, onion and barbeque sauce. Season with brown sugar, garlic powder, chili powder and hot pepper sauce. Cook on HIGH for 2 hours, or low for 4 to 5 hours.

This is an awesome recipe that came from a friend years ago. It's easy to make and tastes wonderful!

1 lb ground beef
1 1/2 medium onions, chopped coarse
1 cup ketchup
2 teaspoons prepared mustard
4 tablespoons vinegar
4 tablespoons dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 (16 ounce) cans pork and beans

Steps:

  • Carmalize onions. Brown ground beef in the onions. Drain fat.
  • Add all remaining ingredients and stir well. Simmer 5 minutes. Transfer to ungreased 2 quart casserole dish.
  • Bake uncovered at 350 degrees.

1 pound ground beef
1 can (15-3/4 ounces) pork and beans
3/4 cup barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tube (12 ounces) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
1/2 to 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add the beans, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, onion and salt; mix well. Bring to a boil. , Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish. Separate biscuits and arrange over the hot beef mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. , Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 18-20 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
