1 bone-in fully cooked spiral-sliced ham (7 to 8 pounds)
1/2 cup pear nectar
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup honey

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325°. Line a roasting pan with heavy-duty foil. Place ham on a rack in pan. Combine pear nectar and orange juice; brush 1/3 cup over ham. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes, brushing twice with remaining juice mixture., Combine brown sugar and honey; spread over ham. Bake 45-55 minutes longer or until a thermometer reads 140°, basting occasionally with pan drippings.

Moist and delicious glazed ham that we serve every Easter and Christmas dinner.

1 fully cooked bone in ham, 6-8 pounds
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup Dijon mustard
3/4 cup orange marmalade
1 1/2 teaspoons whole cloves
1 can of lemon-lime soda

Steps:

  • Score the surface of the ham ½ inch deep in one direction, and then in the opposite direction, making diamond shapes.
  • Insert a whole clove in the center of each diamond.
  • In the bottom of a roasting pan, add the lemon lime soda. Place a cooking rack in the plan and place ham cut side down on the rack.
  • Bake, uncovered, at 325°F for 2 hours.
  • In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, mustard and orange marmalade, set aside.
  • Brush the glaze over the ham. Bake 45 minutes longer, brushing the glaze over the ham every 15 minutes or until a thermometer reads 145°F.
  • Serve remaining glaze with sliced ham.

¼ cup maple syrup
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon dry mustard

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Trim excess fat off the ham and score in a diamond pattern with a sharp knife, making shallow cuts about 1 inch apart. Place in a roasting pan.
  • Roast for 30 minutes in the preheated oven. In a small bowl, mix together the maple syrup, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard and mustard powder.
  • When the 30 minutes are up, brush 1/3 of the glaze over the ham. Bake 20 minutes, and repeat twice with remaining glaze. Let the ham stand for 10 to 15 minutes before carving.

The perfect holiday spiral ham! I meshed the best of multiple glazed ham recipes to come up with this sweet and savory ham recipe with a hint of holiday spice.

9 (9 pound) spiral-cut ham, refrigerated
¼ cup apple cider
¼ cup orange juice
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
½ cup maple syrup
½ cup dark brown sugar
⅓ cup white sugar
2 tablespoons whole-grain Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon soy sauce
⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon ground ginger
⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 pinch red pepper flakes
1 pinch ground cloves

Steps:

  • Place ham in a roasting pan and allow it to rest at room temperature for 30 to 45 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
  • Mix apple cider, orange juice, and vinegar together in a bowl.
  • Open the spirals of the ham to reveal more of the meat's surface area. Pour the juice mixture over the ham. Cover with aluminum foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until heated through, about 45 minutes.
  • Whisk maple syrup, dark brown sugar, white sugar, mustard, soy sauce, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, red pepper flakes, and cloves together in a saucepan over medium heat until shimmering and smooth, about 2 minutes. Simmer 2 minutes more; remove glaze from heat to cool a bit.
  • Increase oven temperature to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Remove aluminum foil from heated ham. Brush 1/3 the glaze atop the ham to cover it completely.
  • Return ham to the hot oven. Bake, uncovered, about 8 minutes. Repeat adding glaze and baking for 8 minutes more.
  • Remove ham and baste a third time with remaining 1/3 glaze. Continue baking until glaze is caramelized and bubbly, 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from the oven and let rest 10 to 15 minutes before slicing. Drizzle pan juices on top.

This roast ham is glazed with Kahlua, mustard, and brown sugar--a sure crowd pleaser!

½ cup brown sugar
½ cup Kahlua
½ cup stone-ground mustard
1 (6 pound) bone-in ham, rump portion*
1 cup water

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • To make the glaze: Heat brown sugar, Kahlua and dry mustard in saucepan until melted and heated through. Reserve about 1/2 cup to serve with cooked ham.
  • Place ham in 9x13 baking pan; add water to bottom of pan. Cover tightly with foil. Bake in preheated oven 45 minutes.
  • Remove foil, and coat ham with some of the glaze. Cover with foil again and bake 30 more minutes. Remove foil and bake until thermometer reads 160 degrees inside ham, about 20 minutes.
  • Slice ham and serve with reserved glaze.

There was a bit of descrepancy in the recipe, in that I had never used STONED GROUND MUSTARD POWDER before, so I chose to used STONE GROUND MUSTARD PASTE IN THE JAR. 9 lb spiral ham ( mine was hormel 81 cure) original called for 6 lb. ham
1/2 c kahlua
1/2 c stone ground mustard
1/2 c brown sugar ( i used light brown sugar)
1 c water

Steps:

  • 1. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS CALLED FOR ON HAM PACKAGE TO MAKE HAM. My recipe said to remove disc over bone. Place ham FACE DOWN in pan large enough with a 2-3 inch side. Add 1 cup of water. Then cover ham tightly with aluminum foil, or a tight fitting lid. Bake in preheated 325 degrees F. oven at 15 minutes per pound, or until ham is warm. I baked mine for 2 hours, and then added the glaze during the last 15 minutes of cooking time.
  • 2. Please NOTE I AM GIVING YOU THE DIRECTIONS I USED TO MAKE AND GLAZE THE HAM, NOT THE ONES IN THE ORIGINAL RECIPE.
  • 3. Add equal portions of brown Sugar, Kahlua, & Stone Ground Mustard, in a medium sauce pan. Place over medium high heat, and then bring to a boil.
  • 4. Cook glaze until it begins to simmer and becomes thick & syrupy. Mine took about 5 minutes
  • 5. Remove ham from oven and brush glaze over ham, and into all the nooks and crannies, then return ham to oven for about 10 minutes till glaze adheres to ham.
  • 6. Remove from oven, Place on platter, add garnishes if desired, separate slices, and serve with extra glaze, you will definitely get requests for extra, so be prepared. SEE THE SEPERATED SLICES IN PROFILE PICTURE ABOVE.
