This coffee cocktail will knock your socks off -- and not just because it's delicious! This recipe comes together in minutes and makes an impressive treat for guests or family.

- In large heavy saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat; stir in cocoa until blended. Whisk a small amount of hot mixture into egg yolk; return all to the pan, whisking constantly. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and a thermometer reads 160°, 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in cracker crumbs, confectioners' sugar and vanilla. Press into a greased 13x9-in. pan., For filling, in a large bowl, combine butter and Kahlua. Stir in confectioners' sugar. Spread over crust. Refrigerate until set., For glaze, in a microwave, melt butter and chocolate; stir until smooth. Spread over filling. Refrigerate until set. Cut into bars.

- Procedure: Pre-heat oven to 350 Degrees. Grease a 9" x 13" baking pan. To prepare cookie base: In a large mixing bowl, beat margarine, brown sugar and salt until light and fluffy. Add flour 1/2 c at a time, blending well after each addition. Stir in pecans, Spred evenly over bottom of prepared pan. Bake 12 minutes; remove from rack. To prepare topping: In a small mixing bowl, beat eggs, coffee powder,a nd sal until light. Beating contantly at medium-high speed, adding sugar 1/4 c at a time, beating well after each addition. Increse speed to high; continue beating until mixture is thick and pale and ribbons form in bowl when beaters are lifted 5-10 minutes after. With mixer running at medium speed, graudally add 1/2 c kahlua, then flour and baking powder; beat until just combined. Fold in coconut. Pour evenly over partially baked crust. Bake 20 minutes. Remove from oven. Dust sooled cookies with powdered sugar. Cut into 48 squares, cutting six strips one way and eight strips another. Store in air tight container at room temperature. - Heat oven to 350℉ (180℃). Lightly grease a 13x9 inch baking pan. For Bar Layer: Melt butter and chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat (or in microwave in a bowl on high, stirring every 30 seconds until melted. Set aside to cool. Mix flower, baking powder and salt. In a large bowl beat brown sugar, eggs, powdered coffee and vanilla until blended. Stir in cooled chocolate mixture. Add flour mixture. Spread batter in an even layer in the prepared pan. For Cheesecake Layer: Beat cream cheese, sugar and flour in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed until pale and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Beat in liqueur (or coffee), vanilla and cinnamon. Carefully pour over brownie layer and spread into an even layer. Bake 20 minutes, until top is almost set. Meanwhile, make the sour cream layer by mixing the sourcream and sugar. After bars have baked for 20 minutes, remove pan from oven and carefully spread sour cream mixture over top. Bake for 10 minutes longer. Cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into bars.

- 1. Heat oven to 350 degree's Parchment line or grease cookie sheet. Chop up the candy bar or bars and set aside.
- 2. Beat sugar and butter together on low until mixture is smooth and well combined.
- 3. On low speed. Beat in the Kahlua. Add in the egg and combined.
- 4. Add in the flour, salt, baking soda and cocoa powder. Beat on low until combine. Do not over mix.
- 5. Add in the chopped milk chocolate bar, and nuts if desired. Mix well with a spoon. Refrigerate for 15-30 minutes until vhilled.
- 6. Optional: mix powdered sugar and cocoa together in a bowl. Roll cookie balls in powdered sugar mixture before baking.
- 7. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. Let cookies cool on pan before moving to platter.
KAHLUA DREAM BARS
This uses a 1/2 c Kahlua liquer in the topping! It sounds so delicious. It comes from "The Joy of Cookies" by Sharon Tyler Herbst. The author suggests using pecans in place of the coconut if you are not a fan of coconut. Prep time is a guess. Some ingredients are listed more than once and in different quantities because the first time is for the cookies base, and the second is for the topping.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease a 8x8 inch baking pan.
- Combine graham cracker crumbs and butter. Press into bottom of pan and bake for 8-10 minutes until slightly crispy.
- Cream eggs, cream cheese, vanilla, sugar, brown sugar, and kahlua until well-combined and smooth.
- Pour evenly over crust.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over filling.

This is a very easy recipe. I made these bars many years ago. I dug up this old recipe and tweaked it a little bit. I love chocolate chip cookies. These bars are delicious. They are a bar cookie with a delicious brown butter frosting. Great dessert for the holidays or any time.

- 1. Heat oven to 350 degree's. Grease or line pan with parchment paper.
- 2. In a bowl sift the flour. Then sift again with salt and baking powder.
- 3. In another bowl beat butter and brown sugar together. Add the egg and beat until mixed. About 20 seconds.
- 4. Add flour mixture to butter mixture. Stir well. Add toasted coconut chocolate chips and nuts. Stir to incorporate well.
- 5. Spread in pan. Bake at 350 for about 25 minutes. Edges will just begin to brown. Top will not be real brown.Do not over bake, or bars will be dry. Cool for a few minutes. Brush 1 tablespoon of Kahlua on top of cookies.
- 6. Make frosting: In a pan melt butter. Stir until it turns golden brown. Remove from heat. Add 2 Tbsp Kahlua,and milk. Mix in the powdered sugar. Beat until smooth. When cookies are cool. Spread with frosting and sprinkle nuts on top. Cut in to squares, and serve.
