JUGO VERDE (GREEN JUICE)



Jugo Verde (Green Juice) image

"Jugo Verde" Green Juice. Mexico's healthy and delicious Jugo Verde (translated green juice) is light on the hips and big on flavor!

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 cups orange juice
1 1/2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
1/2 Nopal cactus paddle (chopped (or substitute 1 celery stalk))
1 large cucumber (with peel, cut into chunks)
1/4 cup packed parsley (or cilantro)

Steps:

  • Place all the ingredients in the blender. Add a pinch of salt, place the lid firmly over the top, and puree until smooth.
  • Once green and frothy, serve as-is or pour through a sieve to remove the pulp.

½ cup freshly squeezed orange juice (1 big orange)
1 stalk Celery
1 ½ cup fresh chopped pineapple
½ big cucumber
1 handful of parsley
1 lime

Steps:

  • Peel the pineapple, chop into small pieces, chop celery and cucumber, remove bigger steams from parsley.
  • Squeeze lime and orange
  • Blend everything in the blender. Serve chilled.
