Using ground Italian sausage plus a few simple ingredients makes these flavorful meatballs extra-easy.

1 egg, lightly beaten
⅓ cup dry bread crumbs
¼ cup KRAFT 100% Grated Parmesan Cheese
¼ cup milk
¼ cup finely chopped onion
1 (19 ounce) package Johnsonville® Ground Mild Italian Sausage or Links, casings removed*

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • In a large bowl, combine the egg, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk and onion.
  • Remove sausage from casings. Add sausage to the bread crumb mixture and mix well. Shape into 20 meatballs. Arrange meatballs on a shallow baking pan.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through (160 degrees F). Serve with your favorite sauce and spaghetti.

1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
1 cup baking mix
2 cups shredded reduced-fat Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian herb seasoning
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Marinara sauce, heated

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine sausage, spinach, baking mix, cheeses, milk and seasonings. Mix well., Shape into 1-inch balls and place on a lightly greased shallow baking pan., Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes or until lightly browned., Serve with heated marinara sauce.

2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 ¼ cups baking mix
¼ cup finely chopped onion
¼ cup finely chopped mushrooms
¼ cup milk

Steps:

  • In a skillet, cook and crumble sausage over medium heat until no longer pink and lightly browned; drain. In a large bowl, combine sausage, cheese, baking mix, onion, mushrooms and milk; mix well. Shape mixture into 36 walnut-size balls and place on a greased, shallow baking dish.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with barbeque or chutney sauce.
