JEANS MAGIC COOKIE BARS
Delicious and chewy. Hard to stop with just one.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350. Place butter in a 13 x 9 inch pan. Place in oven to melt butter. Remove pan from oven; sprinkle crumbs over butter, pressing down with a fork.
- 2. Sprinkle coconut over crumbs. Add a layer of chips and a layer of pecans.
- 3. Drizzle condensed milk evenly over the top.
- 4. Bake for 20 - 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool before cutting.
JEANS MOLASSES COOKIES
Found this recipe in my Mothers recipe box. Not your traditional ginger snap. This is a semi soft and crunchy cookie.

Steps:
- Cream sugar & shortening. Beat in eggs.
- Sift and add dry ingredients.
- Stir in molasses.
- Mix dough well and form into balls. Roll balls in raw sugar. Place on parchment covered cookie sheet. No need to flatten.
- Bake at 350 degrees. Bake until slightly cracked on top. Test for doneness with finger tip.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
- In small bowl, cut 1/2 cup margarine into flour and sugar until crumbly.
- Press in bottom of ungreased 13x9" pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool 10 minutes.
- In large bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, chocolate chips, nuts, baking powder, salt, and sweetened condensed milk; mix well. Spread over partially baked crust.
- Return to oven and bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely.
- In small bowl, blend powdered sugar, remaining 1/2 cup margarine, and vanilla until creamy; spread over bars.
- Cut into 36 bars.

I adopted this recipe from the Recipezaar account as I am always on the look out for make ahead desserts. This is the original introduction: "This is a recipe that has been a fave in our family. They got their name because they are so good that they are 'guaranteed to make your jeans fit tighter'. Cheesy saying, I know, but they are really good!(= Hope you enjoy them too!"

- Cut margarine into flour and sugar until crumbly.
- Press into bottom of 9x13 pan.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Cool on wire rack for 10 minutes.
- In large bowl, combine all filling ingredients; mix well.
- Spread over partially baked crust.
- Return to oven and bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool completely.
- In small bowl, blend all frosting ingredients until creamy and spread over bars.

- Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease two cookie sheets or line them with parchment paper.
- Make Cookie Dough: Sift the flour, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and ginger together in a medium sized bowl. In another bowl, mix the 1 cup of sugar and the butter together well. Add the egg, molasses and dry ingredients; mix well.
- Form Cookies: Place the sugar in a small bowl. Form into 1-inch balls using a small cookie scoop. Roll the balls into the sugar.
- Bake and Cool: Place rolled cookies onto the prepared cookie sheets and transfer the cookie sheets to the oven. Bake for about 13 to 15 minutes. Let the cookies cool for 3 minutes on the cookie sheets, then transfer to a cooling rack to finish cooling.
