Ingredients

1 lb hot dog
2 tablespoons melted butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
11 3/4 ounces condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup water
3 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper, seeded

Steps:

Score hotdogs in corkscrew fashion and lightly brown in butter.
Stir in next 7 ingredients; cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add green pepper; cover and simmer 5 more minutes.
Serve in buns.

4 strip (blank)s bacon strips, diced
½ cup chopped onion
⅓ cup chopped green pepper
⅓ cup chopped celery
2 garlic clove (blank)s garlic cloves, minced
1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
¾ cup ketchup
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon chili powder
1 (16 ounce) package hot dogs, cut into bite-size pieces
5 cups hot cooked rice

Steps:

In a saucepan over medium heat, cook bacon until crisp. Remove bacon to paper towels; set aside. Drain, reserving 1 tablespoon of drippings. Saute onion, green pepper, celery and garlic in drippings until tender. Add pineapple juice, ketchup, salt and chili powder; mix well. Bring to a boil. Add hot dogs; return to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5-8 minutes or until heated through. Serve over rice. Sprinkle with bacon.

1 (12-ounce) jar peach preserves or pineapple preserves
1 cup barbecue sauce
2 pounds hot dogs (10 per pound)
1 (20-ounce) can pineapple chunk in juice, drained and 3 tablespoons juice reserved
1 tablespoon cornstarch

Steps:

In a 3-quart saucepan, stir preserves and barbecue sauce. Diagonally cut frankfurters into 3/4 -inch pieces add to saucepan. Stirring over medium heat, bring to a boil and simmer until meat pieces are plumped. Add drained pineapple chunks, stirring gently until heated through. Remove from heat.In a small bowl, stir 3 tablespoons pineapple juice into cornstarch until smooth. Stir into hot mixture. Return to heat and boil 1 to 2 minutes until thickened, stirring to prevent sticking.Transfer to achafing dish or slow cooker. Serve hot with wooden picks and small paper napkins.
