ITALIAN SPAGHETTI WITH HAM

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 cups slivered cooked ham
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon butter or 1 tablespoon margarine
8 ounces thin spaghetti
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup chopped parsley
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 cup sliced black olives
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a large skillet and lightly saute the ham and garlic.
  • Cook spaghetti, drain and add to skillet.
  • Reduce heat to low, stir in cheese, half the parsley, eggs and olives.
  • Remove from heat and toss with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Sprinkle with remaining parsley before serving.

This is a wonderful and quick dinner. I have never not been asked for the recipe when I serve it to friends. Don't be discouraged by the number of ingredients... you can add or delete any items you wish. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top, toss with olive oil and serve with French bread, if desired. Toss in some artichoke hearts if you'd like.

8 ounces spaghetti
5 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 onion, chopped
16 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 (16 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli
1 (6 ounce) can black olives, drained
12 slices ham, chopped

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and add garlic, onion, mushrooms, broccoli, olives, and ham. Saute mixture until onions are translucent.
  • In a large bowl toss cooked spaghetti with vegetable mixture.

1 Tbsp butter
1/2 c finely chopped onion
1 md garlic clove crushed
1/2 lb cooked ham, cut into julienne strips
1 can chedder cheese soup
1 c milk
1/2 c dark seedless raisins
1/2 tsp chili powder
1 Tbsp salt
3 qt boiling water
1--8 oz package spaghitti

Steps:

  • 1. Melt butter in a large saucepan. Add onion and garlic.
  • 2. Saute over medium heat stirring constantly for about 3 minutes or until onion is tender. Stir in ham undiluted soup, milk,raisins, and chili powder.
  • 3. Cook over low heat until hot, stirring occasionally DO NOT BOIL. Keep warm over low heat until spaghetti is cooked stir frequently.
  • 4. Add salt to rapidly boiling water add spaghetti gradually so water continues to boil. Cook stirring occasionally until tender drain in colander.
  • 5. Place spaghetti on serving plate serve sauce with spaghetti.

1 package (16 ounces) spaghetti, broken into 2-inch pieces
2 cans (10-3/4 ounces each) condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1-3/4 cups whole milk
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cups cubed fully cooked ham (about 1 pound)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine soup, milk, onion, parsley and Worcestershire sauce. Drain spaghetti; add to soup mixture with ham. , Transfer to a lightly greased 2-1/2-qt. baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and bake at 375° for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake 5 minutes longer or until lightly browned and heated through.
