12 Wonton Wrappers
6 ounces Cream Cheese
1/4 cup Sour Cream
1 cup bacon (cooked and crumbled)
1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
3 Jalapenos (seeds removed and diced)

Steps:

  • Spray each muffin cup with cooking spray. Then place one wonton wrapper into each muffin cup with corners slightly overlapping.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, bacon, cheddar cheese, and diced jalapenos. Stir until well combined.
  • Add filling to the prepared wonton cups, Garnish with additional bacon or cheddar cheese if desired!
  • Bake at 350 F for 8-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and the edges of the wonton wrappers are golden.

Wonton Jalapeno Poppers are a great appetizer to bring to a party. The best crispy wontons filled with cream cheese, Cheddar, and fresh jalapeno pepper.

8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese (Sharp cheese recommended)
½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 jalapeno ( finely diced )
1 package wonton wrappers
vegetable oil (for frying)

Steps:

  • Mix together room temperature cream cheese and grated Cheddar cheese in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  • Add Worcestershire sauce and chopped jalapeno and mix well into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Add about ½ teaspoon of the filling to the wonton wrapper.
  • Dip your finger into water and run your finger along 2 sides of the wonton wrapper.
  • Fold the dry edge onto the wet edge of the wonton wrapper and press the edges together. Make sure that they wontons are well sealed.
  • Add enough oil to the cooking vessel so the bottom 3 to 4 inches are covered.
  • Heat oil to 350 degrees.
  • Cook the wontons for about 90 seconds turning when brown on the first side, and then cooking until browned on the other side.
  • Remove the cooked wontons and drain them on a wire rack before serving.

24 wonton wrappers
4 tablespoons (57g) butter, melted
8oz (227g) cream cheese, softened
½ cup (113g) sour cream
4oz can (or 1-2 fresh) jalapenos diced, or to taste
3 tablespoons green onions, sliced
½ cup (57g) cheddar cheese, shredded
½ cup (57g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
¼ cup (28g) crumbled bacon, about 3-4 slices
Salt and pepper to taste
½ cup (57g) cheddar cheese, shredded
Crumbled bacon, sliced green onions

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • Brush the wonton wrappers on both sides with melted butter. Press into muffin pans. Bake until slightly golden, about 6-8 minutes.
  • Mix the filling ingredients and spoon evenly into the baked wonton cups. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake until the cheese is melted and the wonton cups are golden brown, about 12 minutes. Garnish with crumbled bacon and sliced green onion.
  • Remove from muffin pan and serve.

4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. sour cream
12 oz. bacon, cooked & crumbled (reserve 2 Tbsp.)
1 c. shredded cheddar cheese, reserve 2 Tbsp.
3-4 jalapeños, seeded and chopped (**for more spice, do not remove all the seeds)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Spray muffin pan with cooking spray.
  • Place one wonton wrapper in each muffin cup; bake 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Remove from oven and cool slightly.
  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, stir together cream cheese, sour cream, bacon, cheddar cheese, and chopped jalapeños.
  • Spoon filling into wonton cups, then sprinkle with reserved bacon and cheese.
  • Return to oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes, until wontons are golden brown and cheese is melted.

3 jalapeños, seeds and ribs removed, finely chopped
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Vegetable oil for frying
Coarse salt

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine cream cheese, jalapeños, and cheddar cheese. Arrange wontons in a single layer on a baking sheet. Add 1 teaspoon of the filling to the center of each wonton (don't overfill them). Dip your fingers in a bowl of water and run your wet fingers around all edges of each wonton. Fold the wontons over the filling, pinching the edges to seal to make a triangle and removing any air bubbles. Fry wontons in batches in hot oil until browned and crispy. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with coarse salt. Serve warm.

1 (14 ounce) package small wonton wrappers
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 lb jalapeno, diced
1 cup monterey jack cheese
1/2 teaspoon paprika
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 quart oil (for frying)

Steps:

  • Heat oil in a large heavy skillet or deep fryer to 360 degrees F (180 degrees C).
  • In a small bowl, mix together cream cheese, jalapenos, cheese, paprika, salt, and garlic powder.
  • Place 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture into the center of each wonton wrapper. Fold the won ton wrapper over the stuffing to make a triangle or a half moon, depending on the shape of the won ton wrappers you have purchased. Moisten the edges with a little water, and seal. Place prepared won tons under a slightly moist paper towel until ready for frying.
  • Add 3 or 4 wontons to the hot oil, and cook until golden brown, turning once. Set aside on paper towels to drain. Repeat until all wontons have been fried. Serve hot.

24 wonton wrappers
½ cup melted butter
6 ounces jalapenos (diced, or to taste)
8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
2 tablespoons green onions (chopped)
¾ cup cheddar cheese (shredded, divided)
½ cup mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Brush each wonton wrapper on both sides with melted butter and place into a mini muffin tin. Bake 7 minutes.
  • Mix remaining ingredients in a small bowl, reserving ¼ cup cheese for topping.
  • Fill each wonton cup with the cream cheese mixture. Bake and additional 12-14 minutes or until cheese is melted and wonton is browned.
  • Cool for about 3 minutes and serve warm.

1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (4 ounce) can diced jalapeno peppers
20 (3.5 inch square) wonton wrappers
½ cup sweet chili sauce
oil for deep frying

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, stir together the cream cheese and jalapeno peppers. Arrange wonton wrappers a few at a time on a clean dry surface. Set a cup or small bowl of water nearby. Place about a teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture onto the center of each wrapper. Moisten your fingertip in the bowl of water and trace the edges of the wonton wrappers. Fold into triangles or follow directions on the package for desired shapes. This part can be done ahead of time and refrigerated or frozen.
  • Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). When hot, fry the wontons a few at a time until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Repeat with all of the wontons, then serve with the sweet chili sauce for dipping.

1/2 cup Cheese, shredded
2 tbsp Bacon, fully cooked and chopped (optional)
1/4 tsp Smoked Paparika
20 Wonton Skins
Oil For Frying & Water

Steps:

  • In a mixing bowl add cream cheese, cheese, jalapeños, smoked paprika, and bacon (optional). Mix until combined.
  • Grab a wonton wrapper and place a touch of water along all four corners of the wrapper (See blog post and video for a visual how-to).
  • Place about a teaspoon in the middle on a wonton wrapper, fold up and seal tightly (See blog post and video for a visual how-to). Can also use a fork to put pressure along the edging.
  • Fry in oil a few at a time on medium heat until golden brown.
  • Place on paper towels and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauces. Enjoy.
