Cream Cheese Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers image

This simple appetizer recipe will be shooting off fireworks in your mouth all day long! Be sure to make ahead a big batch because they'll disappear quicker than kick-off!

12 jalapenos
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
6 bacon strips cut into bits
1 lime juiced
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Steps:

  • Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Cook bacon strips until crispy. Cut into bits and set aside.
  • Half and de-seed the jalapenos.
  • Mix the remaining ingredients including the bacon in a bowl. Using a butter knife and spoon, spread the mixture into the cleaned jalapenos.
  • Place the filled jalapenos cheese side up on a baking sheet.
  • Optional: add the panko bread crumbs atop the cheese mixture.
  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
  • Enjoy with ranch dressing or your favorite dipping sauce.

Steps:

  • Cut peppers in half lengthwise; remove seeds, stems and center membrane. Stuff each half with about 2 teaspoons of cream cheese. Wrap with bacon and secure with toothpick. , Place on a broiler rack that has been coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until bacon is crisp. Remove toothpicks. After a number of unsatisfactory attempts at making deep-fried poppers, I modified a recipe by Emeril that is much easier than frying and everyone in our family agrees that these are at least as good as -- if not better than -- any fried poppers they have had! We love hot peppers and always make a lot of these from the ones we grow in our garden every year.

1 cup finely shredded Cheddar cheese
1 ½ tablespoons taco seasoning mix
12 jalapeno peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded
2 tablespoons fine bread crumbs, or to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
  • Blend cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, and taco seasoning together in a bowl; spread into jalapeno halves and arrange onto prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle bread crumbs over the cheese filling.
  • Bake until the peppers are just tender, 20 to 30 minutes.

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees. In a small bowl, mix together cream cheese and cheddar. Season with salt and pepper. With a small spoon, fill each jalapeno half with about 1 tablespoon cheese mixture. This Cherry Jalapeño Dip with Whipped Cream Cheese is a warm weather twist on a cream cheese cranberry dip that gets served around Thanksgiving in my family. The dip is no bake and is served chilled which makes it an ideal snack for warm weather days.

1 1/2 cup chopped fresh cherries
1 jalapeño (finely diced)
1 large or 2 small scallions (finely chopped)
2 Tbsp chopped cilantro
2 Tbsp fresh lime juice (from 1 lime)
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar, (+ potentially more depending on how sour the cherries are (will explain in the directions))
1 8 oz package cream cheese (softened)
2 Tbsp whole milk
1 Tbsp olive oil
dash of pepper

Steps:

  • In a medium mixing bowl, toss together the chopped cherries, diced jalapeño, scallions, cilantro, lime juice, chili powder, and salt. Taste and if your cherries are very tart, add a little sugar (1 tsp at a time) until the mixture is just a touch sweet while still being spicy.
  • Using a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, beat the cream cheese on medium until light and fluffy, about 30 seconds. With the mixer running, slowly pour in the milk and 2 tsp sugar and let mix for another 30 seconds or until everything is completely incorproated and the final texture is very light.
  • Spread the whipped cream cheese onto the bottom of a small serving bowl. Spoon the cherry mixture evenly over the cream cheese. Drizzle with olive oil and a sprinkle of black pepper.
  • Serve right away with crackers.

24 medium fresh jalapeno peppers
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
3 cups finely shredded cheddar cheese
1-1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
4 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°. Cut jalapenos in half lengthwise; remove seeds and membranes. In a large saucepan, boil peppers in water for 5-10 minutes (the longer you boil the peppers, the milder they become). Drain and rinse in cold water; set aside., In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, cheddar cheese and Worcestershire sauce until smooth. Spoon 2 teaspoonfuls into each jalapeno; sprinkle with bacon. Arrange on greased baking sheets. Bake until filling is warmed, 3-5 minutes.

Fried Jalapeno Popper Bites are ultra cheesy with lots of crumbled bacon and diced jalapenos. Fried until golden and served with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping. They are wonderfully crispy on the outside with a gooey cheese filling.

8 ounces cream cheese, (softened)
1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
3 jalapenos, (seeded and minced)
6 slices bacon, (cooked and crumbled)
2 teaspoons hot sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 large eggs
2 to 3 teaspoons water
1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs
1/2 teaspoon salt
Vegetable oil for frying
Ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix together cream cheese, pepper jack cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapenos, bacon, hot sauce and garlic powder.
  • Shape mixture into balls slightly large than 1-inch. (You should get about 16.)Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for 30 minutes.
  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, salt, paprika, and cayenne. Set aside.
  • In a second bowl, whisk together eggs and water. Set aside.
  • In a pie plate, combine bread crumbs, Panko crumbs, and salt.
  • Pour about 1 inch of oil into a Dutch oven. Heat to 350 degrees.
  • While the oil heats, dip the balls in flour, coat in egg mixture and then coat in bread crumb mixture. If oil is not ready, place them in the refrigerator.
  • Fry in 2 to 3 batches for about 2 minutes or until golden. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Serve warm with dressing for dipping.

assorted cracker
4 -8 tablespoons sugar

Steps:

  • Drain jalapenos of ALL juice. There should be at least an inch or so space from where the jalapenos are and the top of the jar.
  • Fill this space with sugar and tightly seal jar.
  • Place jar in fridge.
  • Shake the jar vigorously at least once a day for at least 5-7 days.
  • On desired day of serving, spread peppers and some of the now sweetened juice on cream cheese.
  • Serve with crackers.
