WHISKEY BROWNIES

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 tablespoon whiskey
1 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup butter, but into pieces
2 tablespoons whiskey
2 large eggs
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325F. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Toast walnuts: Place walnuts on a banking sheet and put in the oven as you preheat. Heat for 5+ minutes, until walnuts are gently toasted. Watch close to avoid burning.
  • Heat chocolate chips, sugar, and butter in a heavy-bottom saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly, until chocolate and butter are melted. Remove from heat and stir in whiskey.
  • Transfer chocolate mixture to a mixing bowl. Whisk in eggs, one at a time. Add flour and salt and mix well.Stir in (cooled) walnuts. Pour into prepared pan.
  • Bake for 35 to 38 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pan comes out with a few sticky crumbs still attached. I like to under-bake these ever so slightly to ensure a moist, dense brownie.
  • For whiskey ganache: In a small saucepan over low heat, combine cream, chocolate chips, and whiskey. Stir constantly until melted. Pour over brownies and serve.

Jack Daniel's Brownies are a rich and fudgy brownies with a hint of smokiness. Featuring specks of caramel throughout. Then they are topped with a caramel sauce and dusted with salt. OH MY WORD! They are magical. The perfect adult treat.

1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
11.5 ounce package milk chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup Jack Daniel's whiskey
2 large eggs
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (plus more for dusting)
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
5.5 ounces vanilla caramels (1/2 of an 11 ounce package (unwrapped and half of them quartered))
2 tablespoons heavy cream

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Line an 8"x8" baking dish with parchment paper, set aside.
  • Place butter and chocolate in a large microwave safe mixing bowl, melt completely. Whisk until smooth. Add sugar, whiskey, and vanilla. Whisk to combine. Add eggs and beat until incorporated. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Whisk until completely combined, but do not over mix.
  • Pour batter into prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the quartered caramels over the brownie.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clean.
  • Meanwhile combine remaining caramels and heavy cream in a microwave safe bowl and heat (30 seconds at a time) until melted. Stir to combine.
  • Drizzle brownies with caramel sauce and sprinkle with kosher or pretzel salt. Allow to cool completely before cutting.
  • Serve and enjoy!

3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar (or more if desired, for a sweeter taste)
1/3 cup Crisco shortening
2 tablespoons water
1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chips
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/3-1/2 cup Jack Daniels Whiskey (or more or less to suit taste)
1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chips
2 tablespoons butter

Steps:

  • Set oven to 350°F.
  • Grease a 9-inch square pan In a bowl, sift together, flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
  • In a saucepan, combine sugar, shortening and water; cook over low heat to a light boil. Add in chocolate chips and vanilla; stir until smooth. Add in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add in flour mixture and nuts; stir well.
  • Transfer mixture to a prepared baking pan.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Remove from pan; sprinkle with Jack Daniels Cool; top with chocolate glaze.
  • FOR GLAZE: Melt the chocolate chips with butter on top of a double boiler or in the microwave; stir until smooth. Spread over brownies.

1/2 Cup Jack Daniels Whiskey (You can try others, but there is a reason Jack is the best selling Whiskey on the planet)
1/2 Cup Honey (Thick)
1/2 Cup Maple Syrup
1/2 Cup BBQ sauce (Kraft Plain BBQ Sauce or other common brand names- use the plain versions)
1/2 Tablespoon Cayenne
1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar-
1 Tablespoon Corn Starch

Steps:

  • Simply mix all ingredients in a medium pot. Stir over medium/low heat for about 15 minutes stirring occasionally. I like to make sure all the ingredients mix in well so there are no lumps.
  • Once the sauce is mixed well, stir in some corn starch to thicken slightly.
  • Cool and place into squeeze bottles.
  • Refrigerate up to 30 days.

  • Whisk together the milk and sugar in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Simmer, whisking often, until milk has reduced by half, about 15 minutes.
  • Once reduced, remove from the heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract. Allow to cool completely.
