1 lb bulk spicy sausage
2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (8 oz)
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves, crushed
1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count)
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. Line 15x10x1-inch pan with foil; spray with cooking spray.
  • In large bowl, mix sausage, cheese and rosemary; mix well using hands or spoon.
  • Unroll crescent dough on work surface; coat each side of dough with 1 tablespoon flour. Using pizza cutter or knife, cut dough into about 1/4-inch pieces. Mix crescent dough pieces into bowl of sausage mixture in small amounts until well blended.
  • Shape mixture into 42 (1 1/4-inch) balls. Place in pan. Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown.

This Italian riff on our classic sausage cheese balls satisfies every party-app requirement: quick, easy, delicious and feeds a crowd!

3 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
1 lb uncooked bulk Italian sausage
2 cups shredded Italian cheese blend (8 oz)
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (8 oz)
1/2 cup milk
4 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons finely shredded fresh basil leaves
1 jar (25.5 oz) Muir Glen™ organic tomato basil pasta sauce

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 2 rimmed 15x10-inch baking pans with cooking spray.
  • In large bowl, stir together Bisquick™ mix, sausage, Italian cheese blend, mozzarella cheese, milk, melted butter, Italian seasoning and 1/2 teaspoon pepper flakes, using hands or spoon. Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. Place 1/2 inch apart on pans.
  • Bake 20 to 25 minutes, rotating pans halfway through bake time, until brown. Immediately remove from pan; transfer to serving platter. Sprinkle with basil.
  • Meanwhile, in 1 1/2-quart saucepan, heat pasta sauce and remaining 1/2 teaspoon pepper flakes to simmering over medium heat. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 5 minutes to combine flavors, stirring frequently. Serve warm cheese balls with sauce.

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Rolls (8 Count) or 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Dough Sheet
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. Line two 15x10x1-inch pans with cooking parchment paper; spray with cooking spray. In large bowl, mix sausage, basil, pepper flakes and mozzarella cheese until well blended.
  • Unroll dough on work surface. If using crescent roll dough, firmly press perforations to seal. Sprinkle each side with 1 tablespoon flour. Using pizza cutter or knife, cut dough into about 1/4-inch pieces. Mix crescent dough pieces into bowl of sausage mixture in small amounts until well blended.
  • Shape sausage mixture into 1 1/4-inch balls; place on pans. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake 16 to 18 minutes or until golden brown.
