PIZZA TOAST (MICROWAVE)

I make this often, it makes a fast evening snack or lunch, kids love this too! I use Kraft cheddar slices for this it seems to melt the best! Although I have listed only two ingredients you can use your favorite pizza toppings such as diced pepperoni or salami, or veggies, use whatever you like!

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 slices bread (well toasted)
2 slices processed cheese
1/4 cup green bell pepper, diced
sliced tomatoes

Steps:

  • After you have toasted your bread, quickly apply the sliced cheese on top.
  • Place your desired favorite pizza toppings on top.
  • Place the bread slices on a large microwave-safe plate and microwave for about 20-30 seconds (careful not to overheat your pizza toast, as your cheese will overheat and there will be a mess!).
  • Delicious!

A bakery back home used to make mini pizzas on half a roll. This is my version for when I want a tastier lunch than plain old cheese-on-toast Dried herbs = mixed herbs = sage, thyme, marjoram, oregano and parsley

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 slices bread (crusts are good) or 1 roll, halved
1 tablespoon double concentrate tomato puree or 1 tablespoon tomato paste
cheese, enough to cover the bread
ham
mixed herbs (optional)

Steps:

  • Grill one side of the bread (crust side) until it's whatever colour you like toast to be.
  • Very lightly grill the other side, toast should be slghtly firm, but not yet browned.
  • Spread the tomato puree over the lightly toasted side.
  • Add the toppings- cheese last.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of mixed herbs over each slice.
  • Place under the grill again and grill until the cheese is bubbling.
