1 cup long grain white rice, rinsed*
1 1/4 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Add the rinsed rice, water and salt to the pressure cooker pot. Stir.
  • Lock lid in place. Select high pressure and 3 minutes cook time. When timer beeps, turn pressure cooker off and use a natural pressure release for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes do a quick pressure release.
  • Fluff rice with a fork or the rice paddle that came with your pressure cooker.

Steps:

  • Place rice in a fine mesh strainer. Rinse under cold water for 1 minute, or until liquid almost runs clear.
  • Add rice, water, butter, or oil, and salt to a 6-quart Instant Pot. Cover the Instant Pot with the lid and move the pressure release valve to sealed.
  • Turn the pressure cooker to the manual mode:If cooking at high pressure, set the timer to 3-4 minutes. Naturally release the pressure for 10 minutes. If cooking at low pressure, set the timer for 12-13 minutes and quick release the pressure when done.
  • Move the pressure release handle to the venting position to let any remaining steam escape. Open the lid once the float valve goes down. Use a fork to fluff up the rice and serve immediately.

2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
4.5 cups Water

Steps:

  • Wash rice till water runs clear then add rice in the inner pot of the instant pot pressure cooker.
  • Add water, oil and salt then cover the pot safely with it's lid. Turn the valve into sealing position.
  • Set instant pot to manual pressure cook 8 minutes and when done, do 5 minutes natural pressure release.
  • When instant pot is depressurised, open the instant pot pressure cooker.
  • Wait don't fluff yet ! The rice won't be seperate grains at this point.Take the inner pot out of the instant pot and leave partly opened for 5 minutes before fluffing rice with fork.

Steps:

  • Rinse Rice: Rinse rice under cold water by gently scrubbing the rice with your fingertips in a circling motion. Pour out the milky water, and continue to rinse until water is clear. Be sure to drain really well.
  • Pressure Cook Rice: Add 1 cup (230g) rice and 1 cup (250ml) cold water in Instant Pot Pressure Cooker. Close the lid, turn Venting Knob to Sealing Position. Pressure Cook at High Pressure for 3 minutes, then Natural Release for 10 minutes. Turn Venting Knob to Venting position to release the remaining pressure. Open the lid quickly.
  • Optional Seasoning: Add salt to the rice for seasoning.

Steps:

  • Place rice in a fine mesh strainer and rinse under cool water. Drain rice and transfer to Instant Pot.
  • Add water to the pot, and salt, if desired. Stir.
  • Close the Instant Pot lid and turn the steam release valve to the sealing position.
  • Use the Pressure Cook or Manual function to cook at high pressure for 4 minutes. The Instant Pot will take about 10 minutes to reach pressure and then the cook time will begin counting down.
  • When the cook time ends, allow the pressure to release naturally for at least 15 minutes by leaving the Instant Pot alone.
  • Carefully turn the steam release valve to the venting position to quick release any remaining pressure. When the pin drops down, open the Instant Pot lid.
  • Fluff rice with a fork and serve.

  • Rinse the rice under cold running water until the water runs clear; drain well. Stir the rice, salt and 2 cups water together in a 6-quart Instant Pot® and follow the manufacturer's guide for locking the lid and preparing to cook. Set to pressure cook on high for 10 minutes (see Cook's Note). After the pressure cook cycle is complete, follow the manufacturer's guide for natural release and wait until the natural release cycle is complete, about 10 minutes. Be careful of any remaining steam and unlock and remove the lid.
  • Using the tines of a fork, fluff the rice to separate the grains and serve.
