Totally indulgent and ideal for those who prefer their drinks to taste a bit like dessert, this one was designed to use Häagen-Dazs pineapple coconut ice cream, one of several new flavors the ice cream maker has targeted to America's growing Latin market. You can use plain vanilla ice cream, substitute coconut rum, and add a bit of crushed pineapple if the new flavors is a yet stocked in your neighborhood. Source unknown

- in a blender, mix the ice cream, rum, and milk. Blend on a low speed until almost smooth, a few loaves of ice cream are pleasant. Pour into a tall glass, preferably a soda fountain type milkshake glass, and serve at once. Makes one drink.

- Blend ice, rum, lime juice, triple sec, and 1 teaspoon sugar in a blender on the highest setting until smooth, 15 to 20 seconds. Pour into glass.
- Spread 2 tablespoons sugar in a thin layer onto a small plate. Rub lime wedge around the rim of a glass. Dip glass rim in sugar to coat. Pour blended beverage into the prepared glass to serve.

- Taste, and add more citric acid powder as needed, a 1/2 teaspoon at a time. The citric acid will be what gives this recipe it's tartness. The amount you will need will vary based also on the tartness of your limes. Mine weren't very tart at all, and I ended up using another 4 teaspoons to get it to where I was happy about the flavor.
