1 (1 pound) loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
2 tablespoons butter, melted
⅔ cup brown sugar
½ cup chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
⅓ cup heavy whipping cream
⅔ cup sifted confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon milk, or more as needed
1 dash vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Lightly grease 2 round cake pans with butter.
  • Roll bread dough out to an 18x6-inch rectangle and brush with melted butter. Mix brown sugar, walnuts, and cinnamon in a bowl; sprinkle over dough. Roll dough into a log, starting at the long edge. Moisten edge with a little water; seal the edge. Cut log into 20 slices; arrange rolls, cut sides down, in prepared cake pans. Cover with a towel and let rise in a warm place until doubled in volume, about 1 1/2 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Pour heavy cream over dough.
  • Bake in preheated oven until golden brown, about 25 minutes.
  • Stir confectioners' sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl until smooth, adding more milk or sugar as needed so the mixture is easily drizzled. Drizzle over warm cinnamon rolls to serve.

These are fabulous caramels rolls sure to please! I am asked for the recipe as often as I serve them. Superb company recipe as can be prepared the night before and the aroma in the morning will have everyone's mouths watering! You can serve them in the pan or flip over on a tray to show off the caramel topping!

1 cup white sugar, or to taste
2 tablespoons ground cinnamon, or to taste
2 (1 pound) loaves frozen bread dough, thawed
¼ cup butter, melted and cooled
1 cup brown sugar
¾ cup vanilla ice cream
½ cup butter

Steps:

  • Mix white sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl.
  • Roll out 1 thawed loaf into a large rectangle. Brush half of the melted butter evenly over dough. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over butter. Roll up dough into a log starting with the long edge closest to you. Cut log into 1-inch slices with a sharp serrated knife. Arrange slices cut-side up in an ungreased 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • Repeat step 2 with second thawed loaf.
  • Combine brown sugar, vanilla ice cream, and 1/2 cup butter in a small saucepan over medium heat; stir until melted and well-blended, 3 to 5 minutes. Pour caramel mixture over rolls in the baking pan. Cover with aluminum foil and refrigerate until rolls double, 8 hours to overnight.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 30 minutes. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before serving.

1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c white sugar
5 Tbsp butter or margarine
1/2 c vanilla ice cream

Steps:

  • 1. Put frozen cinnamon rolls in greased 9 x 13 pan.
  • 2. Melt the margarine or butter and ice cream and add sugar. Boil for 1 minute. Pour mixture over rolls. Put pan in the cold oven over night.
  • 3. In the morning, turn oven on to 350`for 25-30 minutes. (turn the oven on with the cinnamon rolls in the oven...do not remove while it is heating up) Spread the icing that came with the rolls all over the cinnamon rolls when they are done cooking and serve.

1 1/2 cups butter, softened, divided
4 tablespoons cinnamon
2 cups brown sugar, divided
1 to 1 1/2 cups ice cream
1 cup white sugar

Steps:

  • Thaw bread dough according to package directions. With a rolling pin, roll each loaf of thawed dough out about 1/4 inch thick in an oval shape on a floured surface. Spread 1/2 cup softened butter on the 2 loaves (1/4 cup on each). Sprinkle cinnamon over the top of the butter. Lightly sprinkle 1 cup sugar over the cinnamon. Roll dough into a long tube. Cut into 3/4 inch thick slices, about 12 per loaf. Transfer rolls to 2 greased 9 by 13 inch pans. Set aside. Preheat oven to 350°F. In a saucepan, melt remaining butter and ice cream. Add remaining brown sugar and white sugar. Bring to a boil for 1 minute. Pour mixture evenly over the 2 pans of cinnamon rolls. Allow the rolls to rise at room temperature until they are almost double in size. I set mine on top of my stove while my oven preheats which helps them rise. Bake 25 to 30 minutes. When finished baking, allow rolls to cool a few minutes then flip them out on a cookie sheet and allow to cool completely (or until they won't burn your mouth). ENJOY!!! If you want to prepare these the evening before you can, but don't let them rise at room temperature. Instead, cover them with plastic food wrap sprayed with cooking spray and place in the refrigerator overnight. They will slowly rise overnight and will be ready to pop in the oven in the morning.

1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping, divided

Steps:

  • The night before:.
  • Defrost dough and bring to room temperature
  • Grease a 9x13 pan and sprinkle a little brown sugar in the bottom.
  • Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4" thick (a long oval-shape is good).
  • Spread butter all over the surface of the dough.
  • Sprinkle buttered dough with brown sugar, cinnamon, walnuts and raisins.
  • Drizzle about half of the caramel topping over the dough.
  • Roll up the dough so it ends up as a long tube.
  • Slice the dough into 3/4" rolls and place in the greased pan.
  • SMASH the rolls down with the palm of your hand (you don't want them flat, just smushed).

1 stick butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup frozen vanilla ice cream
1/2 to a full 12-count Bag Frozen Rhodes Cinnamon Rolls
** Save the icing in the fridge overnight

Steps:

  • Combine butter and vanilla ice cream in a saucepan and melt stirring constantly.
  • Add sugars and heat to boiling, over medium high heat stirring constantly with a whisk.
  • Bring to a rolling boil while whisking the entire time for two or three minutes.
  • Remove saucepan from burner and let sit for 15 minutes or so to cool down.
  • Once cooled put this mixture in to the refrigerator for an hour or so to thicken up.
  • Spray glass baking dish with nonstick spray and arrange the frozen cinnamon rolls evenly in the dish. If you are using all 12 cinnamon rolls you might want to do six rolls per 9x13" dish.
  • Pour cold caramel mixture over the rolls and set in the oven overnight (while the oven is off)
  • Store the packet of icing that comes with the rolls in the fridge overnight. You'll use that on top of the rolls once they're cooked in the morning.
  • In the morning do not take the rolls out of the oven.
  • They will remain in the oven while preheating.
  • Bake for 20-30 minutes at 350 degrees (Total - this amount of time includes the preheatinuntil browned on top.
  • Pour the icing mixture over the cinnamon rolls and enjoy!

1 to 2 tablespoon butter, cold
1 loaf frozen bread dough
2/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans, or walnuts
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons butter, melted
6 tablespoons heavy cream
For the Icing:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Using some of the cold butter, grease a pan. Place the frozen bread loaf inside and grease a piece of plastic wrap to place over the dough. Thaw the dough in the refrigerator overnight from 10 to 12 hours, or for about 4 to 5 hours at room temperature.
  • Once the time has elapsed, use the remaining cold butter to grease 2 8-inch round cake pans.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, finely chopped pecans, and cinnamon. Mix well to combine and set aside.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed bread dough into an 18x6-inch rectangle. The dough is quite elastic, so be patient when rolling it out to the recommended size. Let the dough rest for a few minutes now and then and it will relax and be easier to roll. Brush the melted butter evenly over the dough.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture over the buttered dough.
  • Starting at the long end, carefully roll the dough up to form a log. Slice the log into 20 to 22 uniform slices.
  • Arrange the formed rolls in the buttered cake pans. Move the pans to a draft-free place, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let them rise for about 1 1/2 hours, or until doubled in bulk.
  • When the rolls have nearly doubled in size, preheat the oven to 350 F.
  • Drizzle the heavy cream evenly over the rolls-about 3 tablespoons per pan-and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the cinnamon rolls to racks to cool until just slightly warm.
  • While the rolls cool off, sift the powdered sugar into a medium bowl, add the milk and vanilla, and stir until well blended. For thinner icing, add more milk, a few drops at a time. To thicken, add more powdered sugar.
  • Drizzle or spread the icing over the warm cinnamon rolls. Remove the cinnamon rolls from the pan while they are still warm and serve.
