You can prepare Houston's Honey Mustard at home with a few simple ingredients.

1 cup olive oil
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 1/8 cup honey
6 ounces Dijon mustard
1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
3/4 cup mayonnaise

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients and mix well. Allow to sit for at least 4 hours. This will keep for a couple of weeks. You can use this as a vegetable dip, sandwich spread, or a dip for chicken nuggets.

I got this recipe off Copykats. It's really yummy and perfect for dips for chicken nuggets, french fries, or veggies. It's also delicious on sandwiches. I used Grey Poupon's Mild and Creamy Dijon mustard. Also, cook time is time in fridge. It will stay fresh for several weeks.

1 dash garlic salt
3/4 cup mayonnaise

  • Combine all the ingredients and mix well.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

This is the "real" deal. I had a friend that used to work at Houston's many years ago. All I did was break it down to a smaller amount. It is absolutly wonderful.

1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 pinch cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Beat all together and chill for several hours for the flavor to develope. If too thick, more oil may be added to thin as desired.
