This spicy fruit mixture is a breeze to make-just open the cans and empty them into the slow cooker. With its pretty color from cherry pie filling, this salad is nice around the holidays-or for any special occasion. -Barb Vande Voort, New Sharon, Iowa.

1 jar (25 ounces) unsweetened applesauce
1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
1 can (20 ounces) unsweetened pineapple chunks, undrained
1 can (15 ounces) sliced peaches in juice, undrained
1 can (15 ounces) reduced-sugar apricot halves, undrained
1 can (15 ounces) mandarin oranges, undrained
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Combine first 6 ingredients in a 5-qt. slow cooker. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over fruit mixture. Cook, covered, on low 3-4 hours or until heated through.

1 (15 ounce) can sliced peaches, drained
1 (11 ounce) can mandarin orange segments, drained
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple chunks
½ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Steps:

  • Pour the applesauce, cherry pie filling, sliced peaches, mandarin oranges, pineapple, brown sugar and cinnamon into a slow cooker. Cover, and cook on Low setting for 90 minutes.

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 cans (15-1/4 ounces each) sliced peaches, drained
2 cans (15-1/4 ounces each) sliced pears, undrained
1 jar (23 ounces) chunky applesauce
1/2 cup dried apricots, chopped
1/4 cup dried cranberries

Steps:

  • In a 3-qt. slow cooker, combine the sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on high for 2 hours or until heated through.

23 oz jar of chunky applesauce
22 oz can - cherry pie filling
20 oz can - pineapple chunks, drained
15 1/4 oz can - sliced peaches, drained
15 1/4 oz can - apricot halves, drained
15 oz can - manderian oranges, drained
15 1/4 oz can - sliced pears, drained
1/2 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tsp ground cinnamon
3/4 c pecans, in pieces

Steps:

  • 1. PREHEAT OVEN @ 350 degrees F. In a 9"x13" glass baking dish, pour apple sauce in a single layer. Place drained peaches as second layer, pears on top of peaches, apricot halves on top of pears, oranges next, and then pineapple chunks.
  • 2. Pour the cherry pie filling over fruits as smooth as you can to cover pan of fruits.
  • 3. Mix together brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecan pieces. Sprinkle over top of cherry pie filling.
  • 4. Bake at 350 degrees preheated oven 45-60 minutes. Serve with ham or whatever your heart desires.
