This is a good low carb dip, when I make it I omit the onions and use Half and Half instead of milk to lower the carb count further. This is very good with celery sticks :)

1 c chopped pecans
2 tsp butter
16 oz cream cheese softened
4 Tbsp milk- i use half & half
5 oz dried beef, minced--rinse before using
1 tsp garlic salt
1 c sour cream
4 tsp onions, minced

Steps:

  • 1. Saute pecans in butter and set aside
  • 2. Mix all ingredients thoroughly
  • 3. Place in a 1 1/2 quart baking dish (sprayed with Pam)
  • 4. Top with pecans
  • 5. Bake at 350 for 30 mins or until bubbly

1 cup chopped pecans
2 teaspoons butter
16 ounces cream cheese, softened
4 tablespoons milk
5 ounces minced dried chipped beef
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 cup sour cream
4 tablespoons minced onions
crackers or breadstick

Steps:

  • Saute the pecans in butter and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix all remaining ingredients thoroughly.
  • Place in a 1 1/2 quart baking dish and top with pecans.
  • Chill until serving time.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
  • Serve hot with crackers or small bread sticks.

This is a special hot crab dip. I obtained the recipe from a wedding caterer at a beautiful Chesapeake Bay Wedding. Never substitute claw or backfin and you will always have a hit! Number Of Ingredients 6

1 lb fresh lump crabmeat (phillips in a can from costco)
1 pkg philadelphia real cream cheese (not fat free)
1 c real sour cream (8 oz) (not fat free)
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 tsp lemon juice, fresh
1 pkg dry italian good seasons salad dressing mix

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl open the 8 oz package of cream cheese and let soften at room temp. set aside
  • 2. After cream cheese is soft, add the sour cream, and seasoning packette, gently fold in the can of drained crabmeat, last add the lemon juice and worcestershire sauce. Mix well.
  • 3. Turn into a 1 qt casserole dish and microwave on medium to low power for 10 min , stopping to stir until heated through. Once warmed can be added to a chafing dish or may be held in a warm oven till ready to serve, This is best served hot .
  • 4. Serve crackers or dry chunks of crusty french bread for dipping.
