Honey Butter image

I was desperate to find this, and couldn't find anything on it, so I started playing. This is what I came up with, and the family absolutely loves it.

¾ cup butter, room temperature
¼ cup honey

Steps:

  • In a small bowl mix butter and honey until smooth.
  • Store, covered, in the refrigerator.

Hot Honey image

It's easy to buy hot honey, but just as easy (in my opinion) to make it at home. Drizzle it over roasted meats or vegetables, or use it to spice up a salad dressing. You can also mix it into soft butter to serve over biscuits. Yum!

½ cup honey
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon dried thyme
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon kosher salt

Steps:

  • Combine honey, vinegar, red pepper flakes, thyme, smoked paprika, and salt in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature so flavors infuse, about 30 minutes. Store at room temperature in an airtight container.
