Honey Glazed Chicken image

An easy and delicious twist to classic roast chicken

2 chicken breasts
half a lemon
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp dark soy sauce

Steps:

  • Put 2 chicken breasts, skin side up in a small baking dish and season.
  • Squeeze the lemon into a bowl and stir in the honey and soy sauce. Spoon the mixture over the chicken, then tuck the squeezed-out half of lemon between the pieces (this will moisten and add flavour to the chicken).
  • Roast the chicken breasts in a baking dish, uncovered, for 30-35 minutes in a preheated oven (190C/gas 5/fan oven 170C). Cook until done and richly glazed, basting with the juices at least twice. To check if they are done, prod the chicken with your finger - if it's still a bit soft, give it a bit longer.
  • Serve with salad and potatoes roasted with herbs and garlic.

2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 clove garlic, chopped
⅓ cup honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

Steps:

  • Preheat a grill for medium heat.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic, and cook until fragrant, 1 to 2 minutes. Whisk in honey and lemon juice. Reserve half for basting, and brush the other half onto the chicken breasts.
  • Lightly oil the grill grate, and place chicken on the grill. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes per side, turning frequently. Baste often during the last 5 minutes. Chicken is done when the meat is firm, and juices run clear.

Chicken (boneless, bone in, breasts or thighs)
Salt & pepper
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1/1 TBS to 1 TBS Whisky or Bourbon
2 TBS honey

Steps:

  • Pat your chicken dry and trim where necessary.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Combine barbecue sauce (I used Spicy Jack Daniels BBQ), honey and Whiskey/Bourbon and stir until smooth and fully blended.
  • Oil grill, heat to med-high. When Grill is hot, place chicken on grill and cook (depending on cut used) until done flipping once. When placing the chicken on the grill do not brush the face down side with the sauce, brush the topside (separate a bit of sauce from the rest for this so you don't contaminate the rest with raw chicken then wash basting brush)., when you flip it, then brush the other side and cook until done.
  • Remove from grill and brush both sides of the chicken with more sauce, serve.

4 to 6 chicken breasts
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For Marinade/Sauce:
1 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup bourbon
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 to 2 cloves garlic​, minced
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried parsley

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Combine, herbs, bourbon, soy sauce, water, maple syrup, and olive oil in a large bowl. Divide the mixture in half.
  • Add the chicken to the bowl and coat well with half the mixture.
  • Cover and marinate for 2 to 3 hours.
  • Place the remaining mixture in a small saucepan and simmer on low heat for eight to ten minutes, stirring often.
  • Remove from heat. You may need to reheat before serving.
  • Preheat the grill for medium heat. Remove chicken from refrigerator and discard marinade.
  • Place chicken on the grill and allow to cook for 20 minutes or until meat reaches an internal temperature of 165 F in the thickest part.
  • Once cooked, remove from heat and serve with warmed sauce on top.
  • Enjoy!

1 cup(s) honey
1 cup(s) bourbon
6 - 8 - chicken breasts, bone in & skin on

Steps:

  • Prep chicken breast by https://www.justapinch.com/recipes/main-course/chicken/a-nice-trick-to-cook-chicken-or.html?p=2 method. This will leave the breasts nice & juicy!
  • Meanwhile, make the sauce! In a large saucepan, add both bottles of bbq sauce, honey & bourbon, heat to combine, 5 minutes.
  • When chicken is done, marinate in 1/2 of sauce in large ziplock bag; let marinate for 24 hours; then cook as desired (check above link for any help).
  • Once done cooking, serve with remaining sauce.
