- Gather the ingredients.
- In a saucepan, combine the pomegranate juice and sugar.
- Bring to a slow boil, stirring constantly until all of the sugar is dissolved.
- Reduce the heat and cover.
- Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Allow the mixture to cool, then pour it into a small decanter or bottle with a tight-sealing lid.
- Add a dash or two of orange flower water (don't overdo it).
- Seal the bottle and give it a few good shakes.

- Bring juice to simmer over medium heat and cook until reduced by half, about 7 minutes. Reduce heat and add sugar, stirring constantly until dissolved, about 2 minutes. Let cool, cover, and refrigerate syrup until cold, about 30 minutes. (Can be made 1 week ahead. Keep chilled.)

- Cut the pomegranates in half and juice using a citrus press. (This should yield about 2 cups of juice.) Or use two cups high-quality bottled pomegranate juice.
- Pour the juice into a large glass, measuring cup or other microwave-safe container and microwave at full power for 1 to 2 minutes until warm.
- Add the sugar and stir until it dissolves completely.
- Add pomegranate molasses and orange blossom water and stir to combine.
- Allow to cool, then bottle. Add an optional ounce of vodka as a preservative.
