Do you have sinus congestion with clogged ears? Well this is for you, very simple. This recipe was given to me by several nurses I work with; it's the same advice they give to our patients (pediatric through adult) and so they gave the same advice to me when I had these symptoms and let me tell you, it works wonders.

Number Of Ingredients 2

8 ounces warm water, tap water boiled and cooled or 8 ounces distilled water
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • You will also need: 1 dropper.
  • Mix the water and salt.
  • Squeeze some of the mixture through a dropper.
  • Lay across a bed, with your head hanging over, upside down, and sniff a few drops up each nostril.
  • Do this as many times within a 2 hour period and blow your nose occasionally until each ear/nostril is cleared.
  • Take a break for a few hours, then perform again, as needed.

1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup warm water

Steps:

  • Mix all together and use a nose sprayer or dropper to put a couple drops into each nasal passage. Repeat as needed. Store in a small container and use within a week. Cheap and easy to make and clears sinuses.

  • First sterilize a small cooking pot, amber glass bottles and a stainless steel spoon. Do this by bringing a pot of water to boil and then shutting off the heat. Place the bottles in the water and remove after a few minutes. Place on a clean surface. Repeat with the spoon.
  • Inside the same cooking pot, place the 1 cup purified water or spring water. Bring to a gentle boil, then shut off the heat. Add the sea salt and baking powder. Gently stir with the sterilized spoon. Let the solution cool to room temperature and then pour into the sterilized amber glass bottles. Screw on the nozzle lids.
  • Keep 1 bottle at room temperature. Store the remaining bottles and solution in the refrigerator. Discard any leftover solution after 3 days (at room temperature or refrigerated).
