SNOWBALL COOKIES
Steps:
- Heat oven to 325°F.
- Process pecans in food processor until finely chopped. Transfer chopped pecans to bowl; stir in flour and salt. Set aside.
- Cream butter and granulated sugar in medium bowl 2 minutes or until fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Reduce speed to low; add nut mixture. Beat just until dough is combined.
- Working with 1 tablespoon dough, shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place, 1 inch apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 16-18 minutes or until very lightly browned. Let cookies cool on cookie sheet 5 minutes; transfer to cooling rack to cool completely.
- Place powdered sugar into shallow bowl; roll cooled cookies in sugar to coat. Store in airtight container. If necessary, re-roll cookies in powdered sugar before serving.

- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Beat butter and sugar with mixer until smooth and fluffy. Add in vanilla, mix well. Add in salt and flour, a little at a time, mixing until well combined. Dough will be thick.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and sprinkles.
- Using a small cookie scoop, drop cookie dough onto cookie sheets, leaving about 2" between each cookie.
- Bake for approximately 10-12 minutes or until just starting to lightly brown.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool on baking sheets for at least 10 minutes.
- Store in airtight containers.
- Leave a plate out, along with some milk, for the big guy in the red suit.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine swirled and semi-sweet morsels in small bowl; set aside. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in 1 1/4 cups morsels and nuts. Drop dough by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Top dollops with remaining morsels.
- Bake for 11 to 13 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

HOLIDAY SNOWBALL COOKIES
Mom made these for Christmas every year, as long as I can recall. She also made them for hundreds of weddings! She would let us (the kids) do the sugaring at the end. I tweaked my mom's recipe by using some fat-free items and also adding the milk and sour cream. The original version was a harder cookie. This will make a softer one. These can be stored in an airtight container and refrigerated.
