Ingredients

1 9-inch baked pie crusts or 1 graham cracker crumb crust, cooled
1/2 cup cocoa
1 1/4 cups sugar
1/3 cup cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups milk
3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
sweetened whipped cream

Steps:

Prepare crust.
Stir together cocoa, sugar, cornstarch and salt in medium saucepan.
Gradually add milk, stirring until smooth.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil; boil 1 minute.
Remove from heat; stir in butter and vanilla.
Pour into prepared crust.
Press plastic wrap directly onto surface.
Cool to room temperature.
Refrigerate 6 to 8 hours.
Top with whipped cream.
Cover; refrigerate leftover pie.

Pour into crust. Press plastic wrap directly onto surface. Cool. Refrigerate until set, about 4 to 6 hours. Garnish with whipped cream and strawberries, if desired. Cover; refrigerate leftover pie.
