HOMEMADE GUMMY BEARS

Homemade Gummy Bears image

Who knew it was so simple and quick to make one of the most beloved, nostalgic treats out there? Gummy bears might have been your favorite as a child, and now they'll be your favorite again with this quick and easy recipe.

Provided by Food Network Kitchen

Categories     dessert

Time 45m

Yield 100 gummy bears

Number Of Ingredients 3

1/2 cup fruit juice, such as cranberry, grape, orange or lemonade
2 tablespoons unflavored powdered gelatin
2 tablespoons sugar

Steps:

  • Combine the fruit juice or lemonade, gelatin and sugar in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring often, until the gelatin and sugar dissolve completely, about 1 minute (make sure there is no undissolved sugar stuck to the bottom of the saucepan). If any foam forms while stirring, skim it off and discard. Transfer the mixture to a small liquid measuring cup.
  • Put the gummy bear molds on a flat surface and slowly fill each cup to the top. Give each mold a small shake to ensure the mixture settles to the bottom. Refrigerate until the mixture sets, about 10 minutes. Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

These healthy gummies are made with just 4 ingredients and taste so good you'll wonder why you ever bought gummy candy from the store.

Time 55m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/3 cup fruit juice (80g)
2 Tbsp honey (42g)
2 tsp or 2 packets of stevia (4g) or granulated sugar (8g) - optional
1 Tbsp (or 1 envelope) unflavored gelatin (9g)
small silicone molds (I like to use this gummy bear mold)
eye dropper (most silicone molds come with these)
lots of fridge space allow you to set your trays flat

Steps:

  • Begin by placing the silicone molds on a baking tray. This makes it easier to transport them into the fridge. Also make sure you have a flat area in your fridge to place the gummy bears once they're poured in the molds.
  • Make each flavor separately.
  • Bring 1/3 cup fruit juice, 2 Tbsp of honey and 2 tsp of either stevia sweetener or granulated sugar to a boil over a medium high heat in a small saucepan or pot.
  • Set aside to cool for 3 minutes. It should still be warm enough to melt the gelatin, but not hot enough to weaken the setting power of the gelatin.
  • In a small container or bowl, bloom the unflavored gelatin by mixing together 1 Tbsp of gelatin with 1 Tbsp of water until the gelatin is fully dissolved. The mixture should become quick thick as you stir it.
  • As soon as the gelatin and water are mixed together, add it into the slightly cooled juice mixture.
  • As the gelatin sits it can firm up and become difficult to mix in. If this happens, don't worry. It should still be able to dissolve into the juice mixture, but it will take longer to melt / dissolve full. Make sure the gelatin is fully dissolved before filling the molds, or else tiny bits of gelatin can clog up the eye dropper.
  • Use an eye-dropper (they come with most small silicone molds, or you can order them here) to carefully fill the silicone molds. Be sure do this as soon as the gelatin is fully mixed into the juice mixture. If you let it sit and continue to cool, the mixture will start to set.
  • Carefully place the molds in the fridge for 30 minutes, then pop them out of the molds and enjoy!
  • Make as many batches as you want with different flavors of juice. You can also combine two different juices! I made five using apple juice, orange juice, grapefruit juice, pomegranate juice, and black cherry juice.
  • Leftover gummies can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.

HOMEMADE GUMMY BEARS RECIPE

Homemade Gummy Bears Recipe image

This homemade gummy bears recipe is a delicious, healthy snack! They're simple to make and they contain no unhealthy chemical ingredients.

Provided by Betsy Jabs

Categories     Snack

Time 45m

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons raw honey
3 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
⅔ cup pureed strawberries ((make sure they're thawed to room temp if using frozen))
⅓ cup filtered water
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons raw honey
3 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
½ cup pureed blueberries ((allow to thaw to room temp if using frozen))
½ cup filtered water
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
3 tablespoons honey
3 tablespoons unflavored gelatin

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients except gelatin in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Stir with a whisk.
  • Gradually whisk gelatin into the mixture, stirring constantly. (Avoid dumping gelatin into the pan all at once, which will cause big globs of gelatin to remain in the finished product.)
  • Continue heating over medium-low heat until all ingredients are well combined and gelatin is completely melted. (The mixture will change from a grainy, jelly-like consistency to a more glassy, smooth consistency when gelatin is all melted.)
  • Place gummy bear mold on a cookie sheet (which makes it easier to move without spilling once filled). Pour mixture into silicone mold and place in freezer for about 20-30 minutes.
  • Pop homemade gummy bears out of mold and store them in an airtight container. They will keep in the refrigerator for a few weeks.

Homemade Healthy Gummies image

The perfect healthy snack for kids. Real fruits, veggies, and lots and lots of nutrition.

Provided by Ursula Herrera

Categories     Snack

Time 3h15m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 1/2 cups fruit and/or vegetable juice, freshly made with a Juicer (cold press -best choice) or store-bought (making sure it is 100% juice and preferably not from concentrate). Smoothie blends are great too!
4 tablespoons gelatin (I prefer a grass fed gelatin but you can find plain gelatin near the flavored Jello at your local grocery store. A tablespoons is usually one gelatin packet, but just to be sure, empty the packets into a bowl and use a measure spoon.
2-4 tablespoons Raw Honey depending on your preference and how sweet your juice is. You can also use maple syrup or stevia. If your juice has lots of veggies you will need more but it is up to your personal taste.
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, I recommend Organic Pure Vanilla Extract - optional for extra flavor
Optional: Any other ingredients you would like to incorporate like probiotics or elderberry syrup (to prevent or fight a cold), or cod liver oil (immune system booster). Remember you can make these gummies your natural multivitamins.

Steps:

  • Remove from molds. They pop right out. If you used the loaf pan, cut your gelatin into small squares.
  • Keep your homemade healthy gummies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 2 weeks. If you leave them outside they will last but I recommend storing them in the refrigerator.

EASY AND HEALTHY HOMEMADE GUMMIES

Easy and Healthy Homemade Gummies image

Provided by Tiffany

Categories     Snacks

Time 45m

Number Of Ingredients 11

INGREDIENTS
1 cup 100% fruit juice, OR 2/3 cup fruit puree and 1/3 cup 100% fruit juice
8 tsp grass-fed gelatin
2 Tbsp honey (optional) SUPPLIES
small saucepan
silicone mold OR 8×8 glass pan
baking sheet (if using the mold)
small measuring cup
larger measuring cup or bowl with a spout (for easy pouring)
whisk
spatula

Steps:

  • If you're starting with whole fruit, make fruit puree by blending fruit in a blender. Then measure fruit puree into the larger measure cup/bowl first. Add honey if using.
  • Measure juice into a small sauce pan and turn the heat on medium low. Add the gelatin and whisk constantly. Bring the mixture to an almost simmer - you want it to be definitely warm, but not hot, to the touch - abut 3 minutes. The liquid should be opaque or clear and the gelatin should be completely dissolved before proceeding.
  • Add the juice/gelatin mixture to the puree (if using) in the bowl/cup with the spout. Whisk to combine juice/gelatin with puree and/or honey, if using.
  • Place the mold on the baking sheet. Pour mixture into the molds, but do not overfill them. Alternatively, pour the mixture into the 8×8 glass pan.
  • Place the entire baking sheet with the mold on top, or the 8×8 glass pan, in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  • Pull the gummies out from the freezer and pop out of the molds. Store in a container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

HEALTHY HOMEMADE STRAWBERRY GUMMY BEARS

Healthy Homemade Strawberry Gummy Bears image

These Healthy Homemade Gummy Bears are chewy, sweet, and addictive, just like the storebought stuff! These naturally fruity Gummy Bears are fat free, refined sugar free, and low carb... no corn syrup or artificial flavorings whatsoever!

Provided by Jessica | Desserts with Benefits

Categories     Snacks

Time 1h

Number Of Ingredients 5

470g (2 cups) Strawberry Puree ((see Instructions**))
⅓ cup Lemon Juice ((freshly squeezed))
1 tsp Liquid Stevia Extract
Natural Red Food Coloring
60g (6 tbs) Unflavored Gelatin

Steps:

  • **Wash your strawberries, slice the greens off and puree in a blender. Measure 2 cups of the puree and place in a medium-sized bowl.
  • Stir in the lemon juice, stevia and food coloring.
  • It helps to have another person help you here. Have one person spread open a nut milk bag over a large bowl while you pour the strawberry mixture inside. Tie the bag closed and squeeze the bag to get as much liquid out as you can. You should get 1¾ cup (or 334g) of the mixture after straining.
  • Pour the mixture into a nonstick saucepan, sprinkle the gelatin overtop and let it sit for 5 minutes. Stir it together and smush any big clumps of gelatin, don't worry about the small ones, they'll dissolve.
  • Place the pan over medium-high heat and stir occasionally, until it comes to a light boil. Stir constantly when the mixture boils harder. When you can't stir the bubbles away, keep it on the heat for ~30 seconds and then remove from the heat. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes so the foam/bubbles have a chance to go away, then carefully scoop the mixture into gummy bear molds.
  • Let the molds cool on the counter for about an hour, then place them in the fridge. Refrigerate until firm. To store, place gummy bears in an airtight container and refrigerate.

HOW TO MAKE WEED GUMMIES

How to make weed gummies image

Cannabis gummy bears and gummy worms are carving out a place as one of the most enjoyable and popular ways to consume cannabis

Provided by Ben Hartman

Categories     dessert

Time 1h5m

Yield 1

Number Of Ingredients 5

0.5 cup cannabis-infused coconut oil
0.5 cup cold water
3 oz packet of flavored gelatin (this is the standard size small box of Jell-o)
2 Tbsp unflavored gelatin
0.5 tsp sunflower or soy lecithin

Steps:

  • Add the water, cannabis-infused coconut oil, and sunflower/soy lecithin to the pot and place on the stove on low heat.
  • Stir until the oil is completely melted and the mixture has a consistent texture. Add in the flavored and unflavored gelatin, stirring constantly.
  • Keep on low heat for 10-15 min until the gelatin is dissolved, making sure to constantly whisk the mixture and make sure it does not come to a boil.
  • Using a fine-mesh strainer, strain mixture to catch any lumps of undissolved gelatin and impurities.
  • Use a dropper to fill the gummy molds one by one, and do so quickly so that the liquid doesn't cool and begin to separate. Make sure to double back and stir the rest of the mixture frequently so it doesn't harden.
  • Once the mold is full, put the gummies in the freezer for 20-25 minutes.

KETO SUGAR FREE GUMMY BEARS RECIPE

Keto Sugar Free Gummy Bears Recipe image

Learn how to make sugar free gummy bears! This natural, easy recipe for keto gummy bears (or keto gummies in other shapes) needs just 3 ingredients, including real strawberries.

Provided by Maya Krampf

Categories     Dessert     Snack

Time 20m

Number Of Ingredients 4

3/4 cup Water ((divided into 1/2 cup and 1/4 cup))
12 oz Strawberries ((quartered))
1/3 cup Besti Monk Fruit Allulose Blend ((to taste, see instructions))
2 tbsp Unflavored gelatin powder

Steps:

  • Combine 1/4 cup water and strawberries in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring and mashing as berries soften.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer for 4-7 minutes, until berries are fall-apart soft. Mash with the back of a spoon.
  • Meanwhile, pour the remaining 1/2 cup water into a small bowl. Sprinkle the gelatin powder into the bowl and whisk immediately before it sets. Set aside to bloom for at least 5 minutes.
  • Place a fine mesh sieve lined with a jelly bag or nut milk bag over a bowl. When the berries are very soft, pour the berry mixture over the sieve to strain. Press with a spoon or spatula to push the juice into the bowl. You should get about 3/4 cup of juice - measure out 3/4 cup to use for the jello, and add water to reach this mount if it's not enough juice.
  • Wipe down the saucepan and pour juice back into the saucepan over medium heat. Add Besti and stir to dissolve. Taste and adjust sweetener to taste if needed.
  • Reduce heat to low. Stir in the bloomed gelatin and heat, stirring, for about 2 minutes, until gelatin dissolves.
  • Use a dropper to fill silicone gummy bear molds with the liquid.
  • Refrigerate for about 2 hours, until set. Remove the molds from the fridge one at a time to pop out the bears. (They are easier to remove when cold, so don't take all the molds from the fridge at once.) Store in the refrigerator.

HEALTHY GUMMY BEAR RECIPE

Healthy Gummy Bear Recipe image

Let your kids enjoy the fun of making and eating healthy gummy bears. Only 3 ingredients are needed for this recipe and one of them is honey!

Provided by Charlotte Anderson @ Carolina Honeybees, LLC

Categories     Snack

Time 2h10m

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 cup apple juice - no sugar added ((other juices ok))
2 tbsp Honey
2 1/2 tbsp unflavored gelatin powder

Steps:

  • Measure honey, juice and gelatin into a pot. Heat on stove, stirring constantly until the gelatin is melted.
  • Remove from heat and pour into your molds. Most gummy bear molds come with a special dropper to make this task easier. Of course, these snacks can be any shape - you do not have to use the bear mold.
  • Prior to filling place your mold on a flat pan. Silicon molds are soft and you need to be able to transfer the filled mold to the refrigerator.
  • Leave in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours. This gives the gelatin mixture time to cool and set up into a firm state. After removing from the mold, I suggest storing your honey gummy bears in the refrigerator. These are a lot of fun.
