A tasty low carb and low fat substitute for Buffalo wings. Great for people with diabetes!

1 cup chili garlic sauce
1 (5 ounce) bottle Louisiana style hot sauce
2 tablespoons granular sucrolose sweetener (such as Splenda®)
1 tablespoon butter
12 skinless chicken drumsticks

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, stir together the chili garlic sauce, hot sauce and sweetener. Set aside.
  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the drumsticks, and cook until browned on the outside, turning as needed. Reduce heat to medium-low, and spoon sauce over the chicken to coat. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until chicken has cooked through and sauce is thick and sticky, about 20 minutes.

2013-05-14 So good! Not too spicy at all, just right. Probably could use more spice depending on the audience. I halved the sweetener and it was perfect. Just personal preference on sweet meats. I baked it on 325 for over an hour, so tender. Did not want to add fat by frying it up, so just the sauce over the legs in the oven! Delicious~~
