TURKEY, CHEDDAR & BACON SLIDERS
We love how these sweet sliders are great to take to a party, but they are also an easy meal to make at home. Turkey, Cheddar & Bacon Sliders are a great way to use leftover turkey or a pack of deli meat. Everyone in our family enjoys these little sandwiches!

GRILLED HULI HULI TURKEY DRUMSTICKS
I'm never one to do things traditionally, so when it came time to hosting Thanksgiving, I went in a completely tropical direction. Borrowing my favorite Hawaiian chicken recipe, I substituted turkey legs and have never looked back. -Jacyn Siebert, San Francisco, California

HAWAIIAN KALUA TURKEY
Aloha! My husband got this recipe when he lived in Hawaii. It started with Kalua Pig and later was used on Turkey. It's cooked long and slow in a pit in the ground. Ed wanted to take and dig a hole in the lawn, but I wouldn't let him (LOL) so we cooked it in our oven. Moist and tender, unbeleivably succulent! Mahalo!

Steps:
- 1. Remove neck and organs from turkey cavity. Rinse well and pat with paper towel. Melt 1 stick of butter and add liquid smoke. Pour some inside turkey cavities and the rest all over outside of turkey. Use 2 handfuls of Hawaiian Salt(or sea salt) and 3 T of black pepper and mix together. Season inside and outside of turkey well with mix.
- 2. In a large roasting pan, take a 3-4 ft section of aluminum foil and lay in pan lengthwise. Take another 3-4 section and lay in opposite direction (see pic). Take 4-5 of Ti Leafs that have been washed and lay in bottom of roasting pan. Insert turkey into pan. Lay remaining Ti Leafs on top of turkey.
- 3. Take lengthwise ends of tinfoil to meet together and roll downwards toward the turkey. Now take other two ends of tinfoil and do same (see pic).
- 4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. When heated, place turkey in oven. Cook for 2 hours at 350 degrees, then turn oven down to 250 degrees for the remaining 4 hours. Remove Turkey. Remove aluminum foil and allow steam to release. Remove Ti leafs.
- 5. Take 2 large bowls and start to shred meat from Turkey with Forks. Use one bowl for bones and other for shredded meat. Pour pan juices in a gravy bowl. Serve with white rice just as they do in Hawaii. Mahalo!

ENGLISH HONEY-ROASTED TURKEY
Because I usually have very herb- and chestnut-filled stuffing, I wanted a roast turkey that is simple and traditional. I picked up this recipe in England, and absolutely love it. The gravy made from the pan drippings is heavenly!

Steps:
- Pat the turkey dry inside and out with paper towels. Rub the cut lemon halves lightly over the skin of the turkey. Season inside and out with salt and pepper to taste. Place the lemon halves, apple, onion, and potato into the cavity of the turkey. Place into a close-fitting roasting pan.
- Stir the butter and honey together in a small saucepan over medium-low heat until the butter has melted and the mixture is evenly blended. Spoon the honey mixture over the turkey, coating the entire outer surface. Allow to stand 30 minutes, reapplying the honey mixture several times.
- Preheat an oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Bake the turkey in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, basting two or three times with the drippings and honey mixture. Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and cook 30 minutes more, basting frequently. If needed, use a cup of chicken stock to keep the pan juices from drying out.
- Cover the turkey with aluminum foil, and continue roasting until no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear, 1 1/2 to 2 hours longer. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh, near the bone should read 180 degrees F (82 degrees C). Remove the foil during the last 15 minutes and baste one last time. Remove the turkey from the oven, cover with a doubled sheet of aluminum foil, and allow to rest in a warm area 15 minutes before slicing.
