- In a large bowl, mix beef, pineapple, water chestnuts, ham, onion and egg. Using a scant 1/2 cup for each, shape mixture into eight patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet. Broil 5 inches from heat source for 5 minutes.Turn patties brush with soy sauce and broil 5 minutes longer or until of desired doneness.

- Drain pineapple reserve juice.Slice frankfurters in half lengthwise then diagonally into 1-inch pieces. In a 10-inch skillet over medium heat sauté frankfurters in butter or margarine for 7 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.Add green pepper, onion and garlic cook and stir for 1 minute. Remove from heat.Add pineapple, broth or bouillon and brown sugar.In a small bowl mix reserved pineapple juice and cornstarch until smooth. Gradually stir into skillet. HAWAIIAN RIBBON BEEF AND ONIONS

- Place meat in freezer for 30 minutes until firm. Remove fat and gristle from meat cut meat into ribbon-thin slices. Sprinkle beef with mixture of 3 teaspoons cornstarch, salt, pepper, and sugar. Add soy sauce and 2 tablespoons sherry marinate 15 minutes, stirring twice. Mix remaining 1 teaspoon cornstarch, instant bouillon, water, and remaining 2 tablespoons sherry set aside. Heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a large skillet or Chinese wok until almost smoking. Add onions, ginger, and garlic stir-fry over high heat for 3 minutes. Remove and keep warm. Add remaining oil to skillet and heat until almost smoking add beef and stir-fry over high heat for 3 minutes. Return onion mixture to pan and toss with meat for 1 minute. Add cornstarch mixture and stir-fry until thickened, about1 minute. Toss in cherry tomatoes turn for 30 seconds. Serve immediately with hot rice or noodles.

ROYAL HAWAIIAN CAKE

- Preheat oven to 375°. Grease two 9-inch round cake pans, line bottoms with waxed paper and grease again. Onto a sheet of waxed paper, sift together flour, baking powder and salt set aside.In a small mixer bowl at high speed, beat egg whites until foamy. Add cream of tartar and beat until stiff but not dry set aside.In a large mixer bowl, place 1 1/4 cups of the pineapple and juice set remainder aside for filling. Add sugar, egg yolks, oil, vanilla and lemon extracts. Beat at low speed for 1 minute or until well blended. Add flour mixture and beat for 1 minute or until all ingredients are moistened. Increase speed to medium and beat 2 minutes longer, scraping bowl. Stir in about 1 cup of the beaten egg whites to lighten the mixture. Fold in remaining egg whites just until blended.Pour into pans. Bake for 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pans on wire racks for 10 minutes. Remove from pans peel off waxed paper. Cool completely on wire racks.When cake and filling are cool, brush crumbs from edges of cake. Place one layer on a serving plate. Spread with 1 cup of the filling. Top with second cake layer. Spread with remaining filling to within 1 inch of edge, leaving a 1-inch border.In a small mixer bowl at medium speed, beat whipping cream, powdered sugar, vanilla and salt until stiff peaks form. Frost border and sides of cake, reserving about 3/4 cup. Pipe border with reserved cream mixture and sprinkle with coconut. Chill at least 2 hours or overnight.To serve, cut into wedges with a serrated knife. Refrigerate leftovers.

Steps:
- 1. preheat oven to 300.
- 2. brown chops slowly on both sides in fat trimmed from chops in ovenproof skillet.
- 3. season chops with salt and pepper.
- 4. combine wine, honey and wine vinegar with 1/4 cup of the reserved pineapple syrup and pour over chops.
- 5. cover and bake in preheated oven for 1 hour, or until tender.
- 6. remove chops and place in serving dish. keep chops warm.
- 7. add pineapple, onions and green pepper to skillet and simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes.
- 8. combine cornstarch with teriyaki sauce and mint and stir into skillet.
- 9. cook stirring until mixture boils.
- 10. pour mixture over chops.
HAWAIIAN-STYLE PORK SPARERIBS

- Heat oven to 350° F. Place ribs in roasting pan and bake for 30 minutes. In blender or food processor, combine water, soy sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, and Tabasco® purée. Pour marinade over meat and marinate, unrefrigerated, for 3 to 4 hours, turning frequently. Drain, reserving marinade. Grill meat over medium coals basting frequently until browned and cooked through, 30 to 45 minutes. Garnish with tomato wedges and green onion slices.
