HAM AND SWISS WAFFLES
Waffles turn savory with this delicious ham and cheese twist. Add a fried egg, and your breakfast or dinner is complete.

- Heat waffle maker; lightly brush with vegetable oil, if necessary. In medium bowl, stir Bisquick™ mix, milk, oil, egg, ham and shredded cheese.
- Pour 1/2 cup batter onto center of hot waffle maker. (Waffle makers vary in size; check manufacturer's directions for recommended amount of batter.) Close lid of waffle maker. Bake according to manufacturer's directions until steaming stops and waffle is golden brown; carefully remove waffle. Repeat with remaining batter. Serve with a dollop of sour cream and chopped chives.

Like most kids, my children love pizza...given the chance, they'd probably eat it for every meal! So their eyes lit up when I first served these waffles with pizza-like ingredients for breakfast.

- In a bowl, beat eggs, milk and oil. Combine flour, baking powder and salt; add to egg mixture and beat until smooth. Fold in cheese and ham or bacon. , Bake in a waffle iron according to manufacturer's directions until golden brown. Top each waffle with a fried egg if desired.

Steps:
- Add all the dry ingredients and sift.
- Beat the egg yolks and add them to the milk.
- Stir the liquid ingredients into the dry ones.
- Add your melted butter.
- Add the chopped ham.
- Beat the egg whites until they are stiff and add them to the batter just before making.
- Preheat the waffle iron for 2 minutes.
- Add batter, cook and enjoy!
HAM AND CHEESE WAFFLES
Steps:
- Fold the ham, cheese and pepper into the prepared waffle batter in a large bowl.
- Preheat a waffle iron and coat with cooking spray. Pour some batter into the waffle iron, spreading it into the corners. Close the lid and leave it closed until the waffles are cooked through and golden brown in spots, 6 to 8 minutes. Continue until all the batter has been used.
- Cut the waffles into sticks, transfer to plates and serve with maple syrup.

- Preheat oven to 300°. Heat waffle iron until very hot. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and kosher salt in a large bowl. Using an electric mixer, beat egg whites in a medium bowl until medium-soft peaks form. Whisk egg yolks, melted butter, buttermilk, and soda water in a medium bowl; gradually whisk into dry ingredients. Fold in egg whites.
- Coat waffle iron with non-stick vegetable oil spray. Pour batter onto iron, spreading it into corners (amount of batter needed will vary according to machine). Scatter 1 rounded Tbsp. ham and 1 Tbsp. white cheddar over each waffle. Cook until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a baking sheet; keep waffles warm in oven between batches. Serve with butter and warm maple syrup.
