TOMATO, HAM AND CHEESE BAKE



Tomato, Ham and Cheese Bake image

A great supper dish with a green salad and a glass of Pinot Grigio. Add this to your buffet dinner or potluck supper

Number Of Ingredients 7

8 large tomatoes, thinly sliced
2 cups cooked ham, chopped
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
6 cups fresh white breadcrumbs
3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
4 tablespoons butter, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Combine ham, mayo, and parsley.
  • In a separate bowl, combine breadcrumbs, cheese and melted butter.
  • In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, place 1/3 of the tomatoes, top with 1/3 of the ham mixture, cover with 1/3 of the breadcrumb mixture.
  • Repeat process, creating 2 more layers.
  • Bake 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  • Let sit 10 minutes before serving.

1 pint cherry tomatoes
1 (4 1/2-ounce) can deviled ham spread
2 tablespoons sour cream
2 tablespoons horseradish sauce
Garnish:
chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Slice tops off tomatoes and scoop out pulp. Place tomatoes upside-down on paper towels to drain. In a small bowl, mix remaining ingredients except parsley. Spoon or pipe ham mixture into tomatoes; sprinkle with parsley. Chill.

I love stuffing tomatoes and this is a great way to use up leftover ham.

2 c cooked or smoked ham, cubed
1/4 c onions, diced
1/4 c sweet pickle relish or chopped celery
2-3 eggs, boiled and diced
mayo
pepper to taste
4-6 large tomatoes

Steps:

  • 1. Cut top off of tomatoes and scoup out inside. Place in mirco for about 2 min.
  • 2. Mix together ham, eggs, pickle relish, onion, mix well. Add mayo and pepper to your liking.
  • 3. Stuff tomatoes and refrigerate till serving.
