Not what you may be thinking, this is NOT ham mac n' cheese! This is just a simply wonderfully SIMPLE baked pasta dish with tasty ham instead of the usual boring hamburger or sausage.

1 (16 ounce) package rotini pasta
1 (26 ounce) jar onion and garlic spaghetti sauce
1 pound thickly sliced honey baked ham, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon onion powder
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, combine dry pasta, spaghetti sauce, ham, garlic, onion powder and pepper. Fill sauce jar with water, and pour over mixture. Mix well, and spoon into 9x13 inch casserole dish. Cover tightly with foil.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes. Carefully remove foil, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Bake for 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

300g pasta (we used conchiglie)
1 head of broccoli, cut into small florets
1 tbsp oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
250g ham, cut into chunks (get a nice thick slice from the deli counter)
300ml pot double cream
1 tbsp English mustard
140g mature cheddar, grated

Steps:

  • Bring a large pan of water to the boil and cook the pasta following pack instructions, adding the broccoli florets to the pan for the final 4 mins. Drain and set aside.
  • Meanwhile, make the sauce. Heat the oil in a large pan and cook the onion for 5 mins to soften, then stir in the garlic and cook for 1 min more. Stir in the ham, cream and mustard, then bring to the boil. Add the pasta and broccoli, then stir in the cheese, coating everything in the sauce.

8 ounces uncooked medium pasta shells
1 pound process cheese (Velveeta), cubed
1/2 cup whole milk
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
2 cups cubed fully cooked ham
1 package (8 ounces) frozen peas, thawed

  • Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a microwave-safe bowl, combine cheese and milk. Cover and microwave on high for 2 minutes; stir. 1 (8 ounce) package Cheddar cheese, cubed
1 cup cubed, cooked ham
½ cup mayonnaise
1 cup dry bread crumbs

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until cooked through but firm to the bite, 8 minutes; drain.

2 cups leftover roasted vegetables, such as potatoes, carrots, parsnips and onions

3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup chicken stock
1 1/2 cups whole milk

A few grates nutmeg
1 cup shredded Gruyere
1 cup shredded white sharp Cheddar
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

Steps:

  • Heat a large pot of salted water to a boil, drop in pasta. Cook pasta to just shy of al dente.
  • Heat sauce pot with butter over medium heat, whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute, whisk in stock then milk, allow the sauce to thicken, and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Stir in cheeses in a figure eight motion. Stir in Dijon and ham and remove the sauce from heat. Drain pasta and combine with sauce.

  • Melt butter over medium heat in a large stockpot.

1 cup fat-free milk

1 1/2 cups diced ham
1 pound orecchiette pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 shallots (thinly sliced)
3 garlic cloves (roughly chopped)
1 1/2 cups frozen peas
1/2 cup pasta cooking water
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
½ cup grated Colby jack cheese
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper

Steps:

  • Heat a large pot of water over high heat and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add the pasta and cook until al dente. Drain, reserving ½ cup of the pasta cooking water.
  • Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a medium skillet on medium heat until melted. Add the shallot and sauté for 3-4 minutes until fragrant. Add the chopped garlic and cook for 1 minute more. Stir in the cubed ham and the frozen peas and toss to combine.
  • Add in the reserved pasta cooking water and then the pasta and 2 varieties of cheese. Season with salt and pepper and lemon zest. Toss to combine and serve as needed.

1 Large Red Onion (diced)
250g Quark
1 Mushroom Stock Pot
1tbsp Dried Parsley
1tsp Mustard Powder
90g 50% Less Fat Cheddar (grated)
150g tube Primula Light
150g Ham (chopped into small pieces)
1 egg (beaten)
300ml Boiling Water

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 200°c/Gas 6.
  • Cook the pasta according to packet instructions and strain before setting aside.
  • Meanwhile 300ml of stock using the mushroom stock pot and 300ml of boiling water.
  • In a bowl mix together Quark, egg, red onion, mushrooms, ham, parsley, mustard powder and grated cheese.
  • Add the stock and cooked pasta and mix well before pouring into a large oven dish.
  • Squeeze the Primula light on top of the mixture and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Serve and Eat!

4 each/1 lb. plum tomatoes (halved)
1 tsp. vegetable oil
4 oz. elbow macaroni or other short cut pasta
8 oz. collard greens (tough rib removed)
3 Tbsp./1 ½ oz. butter (divided)
1 cup/4 oz. onion (medium dice)
3 Tbsp. flour
2 cups/16 oz. skim milk
Several grates of nutmeg
Pinch of cayenne
3 oz./½ cup grated smoked mozzarella
3 oz./½ cup grated cheddar
4 oz. smoked ham (roughly chopped)
2 Tbsp./ ½ oz. breadcrumbs

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400ºF. Place tomatoes on a lightly oiled baking sheet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and drizzle with the oil. Roast for about 30 minutes or until concentrated and beginning to caramelize. When cool enough to handle, roughly chop the tomatoes.
  • While the tomatoes are cooking, bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and reserve.
  • Bring another pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the collards until tender (about 10 minutes). When cool enough to handle, roughly chop. Reserve.
  • Heat a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the butter and onions and cook until softened (about 3 minutes). Whisking constantly, stir in the flour, taking care the flour doesn't brown. Continue to cook for 2 minutes. Whisk in the milk. It will thicken as it gets hot. Whisk constantly; any lumps will smooth out. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes. Mixture will bubble and thicken and when it no longer changes in consistency, it's done. Stir in nutmeg, cayenne and cheese. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Stir in pasta, collards and ham. Fold in tomatoes. Spread into a 9" x 9" pan. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs. (Mac 'n' Cheese can be made ahead to this point and refrigerated or frozen.) Bake for 15 minutes or until heated through.
