OLD FASHIONED HAM BALLS
Old Fashioned Ham Balls are straight from Grandma. These meatballs are a combination of ground pork, beef and ham with a surprise sweetness coming from graham cracker crumbs. The brown sugar glazed is just the icing on the top made with a base of tomato soup.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350°
- Combine the meatball ingredients. In a large bowl lightly combine the 1 lb ground ham, 1 lb ground beef, 1 cup graham cracker crumbs, 3/4 cup milk, and 1 egg. Make large meatballs. Form the mixture into large meatballs, about 1/3 cup in size each. Place into a 9x13 baking dish. You will have about 12-15 meatballs.
- Whisk together the sauce ingredients & pour over meatballs. In another bowl whisk together the can of condensed tomato soup, 1 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup white vinegar, and 1 tsp dry mustard. Pour the sauce over the meatballs.
- Bake 1 hour. Bake in the oven, uncovered, for 1 hour, basting the tops of the ham balls with the sauce once or twice during cooking.
- Cool & eat! Let the meatballs cool for about 5-10 minutes and then serve with mashed or baked potatoes and veggies.
HAM BALLS
(I was given this recipe a few years ago). It is one everyone will ask for. I took it once to a Birthday Party and was asked for the recipe by at least 5 people including the host. These can be served for dinner on rice or taken to parties and kept warm in a crockpot until serving. They can also be made ahead of time and frozen.

Steps:
- Turn on oven to 350 degrees. Grease a baking dish with shortening. Save until Step 4.
- Tear the bread into pieces and put in blender container. Cover the blender; blend on high speed until crumbs form (you should have about 1 1/2 cups). On cutting board use a sharp knife to cut onion into very small pieces (you should have about 1/2 cup).
- Crack the eggs into a large bowl. Beat with a fork or whisk until yolks and whites are mixed. Add bread crumbs, onion, milk, 1 teaspoon of the mustard, and pepper. Add ground ham and ground pork. Mix well with wooden spoon.
- Place a piece of waxed paper on the counter or table. Put the meat mixture on waxed paper. Use your hands to divide the mixture into 12 portions. Shape each portion into a ball. Place the meatballs in the prepared baking dish.
- In a small bowl stir together brown sugar, catsup, vinegar, and the remaining 1 teaspoon mustard. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Pour over meatballs.
- Put the baking sheet in the oven. Bake about 35 minutes or until internal temperature is 160 degrees F. Turn off oven. Use hot pads to remove baking dish from oven. Use a large spoon to serve meatballs. Stir sauce in dish. Spoon sauce over meatballs to serve.

Steps:
- Batter: Combine all of the ingredients in a medium mixing bowl.
- Breading: Pulse the crackers and potato chips in a food processor until finely ground. Transfer the mixture to a shallow bowl.
- Filling: Cut the canned meat into chunks and put it into a food processor with the pickle slices. Pulse until the mixture becomes chunky. Do not overmix.
- Roll pieces of the cream cheese into 1 1/2-ounce balls with floured hands to avoid sticking. Fatten each ball with the palm of your hand. Portion out the meat mixture to match the amount of cheese balls. Put a portion of the meat into the middle of a cheese ball and fold the cheese over the meat to enclose. Once you have a ball formed, dip it in the batter and then roll it in the cracker mixture. Repeat with the remaining cheese balls and meat.
- Heat about 1-inch of vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Gently fry the bites, in batches, until golden brown. Remove them from the oil to a serving platter and enjoy!

IOWA HAM BALLS
This is a special recipe my whole family likes. Every time they visit and I make Ham Balls, they're all smiles. When I take this to potluck meals, I'm always asked to share the recipe. It's very appropriate for my region, too, since Iowa farmers raise prize-winning pigs and cattle.

HAM CREAM CHEESE BALL
My mother has used this recipe for every occasion that you can possibly think of. Everyone asks for the recipe and cannot believe that it is that easy. It is also great because you can add or subtract as much ham or onions as you want.

HAM BALLS
This is my newest, favorite meatball recipe. If you like a sweet twist, you'll like this one. The meatballs will be slightly pink inside when done because of the pork, so do not overbake them!

HOLIDAY HAM BALLS
The holidays are deadly to a diet because of things like this! You can just keep popping one into your mouth every time you pass by till you have accidental eaten them all. I got this from a friend in Sweden. *Using the coarsest grating disc of the food processor for the ham works perfectly. After you have grated the ham use it for the cheese.
