Steps:
- Cut bread into 1-in. cubes; place cut side up on a baking sheet. Brush tops with oil. Broil 4 in. from the heat for 1-2 minutes or until toasted., Combine apple butter and mustard; spread over toast. Layer with cheeses and ham. Broil for 1-2 minutes or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with chives.

I got this recipe from my Mom, they are tasty little appetizers. They are made in mini muffin tins. We like to use real bacon bits for this recipe. Watch them disappear!

Steps:
- lightly brush mini tart pans with mayonnaise.
- remove crust from bread, cut each slice into 4 squares, lightly press into tart pans.
- combine mayonnaise, cheese, onion, ham or bacon, lemon juice and hot pepper sauce
- spoon into each bread cup, distributing evenly.
- Bake in 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes until lightly browned.
COUNTRY HAM AND CHEESE BISCUIT BITES
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a medium size mixing bowl, use a whisk to sift together flour, garlic, mustard, onion powder and cayenne. Add grated butter, mixing until evenly distributed. To the bowl add buttermilk, mix well.
- Once dough is formed, add cheese, ham and chives. Use a non stick spatula to gently mix through the dough until fully combined.
- Drop by tablespoon onto pan, leaving 2 inches between. Brush tops with melted butter. Bake for 20-22 minutes or until lightly golden. (Adjust bake time according to size)
- Brush again with melted butter and serve with sweet hot mustard or maple syrup, if desired.

- In a mixing bowl, combine the eggs, egg whites, milk, salt and pepper and whisk together until yolks and whites are fully combined and beaten. Add the reserved chopped ham, the spinach and half of the shredded cheddar and stir together to combine.

- In a small bowl, stir together the brown sugar and warm milk until dissolved. In a large bowl, combine 2 ½ cups flour, the milk mixture and the yeast. Stir until a soft dough forms.
