HALLOWEEN BARK
Drizzle pre-colored candy melts over dark chocolate into the festive design of your choice, then cool, break into shards, and voila! Homemade Halloween candy. Chocolate bark is one of the easiest things you can throw together for any holiday or event. Just change up the color of the chocolate and switch up the themed sprinkles you use every time.

- Add the dark chocolate chips to a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir. Microwave again for an additional 30 seconds. Stir again. By this point, your chocolate should be smooth and shiny. If there are still large lumps, microwave for an additional 15 seconds and stir again.
- Pour the chocolate onto the prepared parchment paper and spread it out until it is 1/4” thick. This is easiest to do with an offset spatula.
- Add any sprinkles, candy, or decorations while the chocolate is still wet— work quickly as it will start to harden immediately.

- Prepare a flat surface with wax paper. In separate bowls, melt each of the colors according to package directions. For instance, for me this meant melting in the microwave in 30 second increments, stirring between each increment until completely melted.
- Beginning with one color of chocolate, spread all but a couple of tablespoons over the wax paper in a thin layer, making about a 9 x 13 inch rectangle. Repeat this process with all colors until all three layers have been spread and layered on each other.
- Using the remaining tablespoons of each chocolate, spoon lines of the chocolate on the bark. Using a toothpick or skewer, drag the dollops through the top layer to make a marbled design.
- Top the bark with sprinkles, candy eyes, and candy pieces. Let set until completely hardened then cut into pieces with knife.

- Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with a silicone liner or parchment paper; set aside. Chop or break any larger candies, cookies, or pretzels; set aside.
- Melt the vanilla candy bark (or white chocolate) as directed on package. If heating in the microwave, use 50% power to prevent overheating the candy/chocolate. Pour about half of the melted chocolate onto the lined baking sheet, then spread about 1/4 inch thick.
- Working quickly, add an assortment of pretzels, cookie pieces, and candy corn (or other candies) in a single layer. Pour the remaining melted chocolate on top of the pretzels and cookies, then add additional toppings, including sprinkles. Set aside and allow the chocolate to cool fully. You can place the entire baking sheet in the freezer for 10 minutes to speed up the process.
- Once the chocolate is fully set and cool, break the candy bark into pieces. Store Halloween Candy Bark in an airtight container for up to a week.
