4 teaspoons kashmiri green tea
4 pinches saffron
2 cardamoms, slightly crushed (elaichi)
8 blanched almonds, chopped (badam)
1 cinnamon stick (dalchini)
2 cloves (laung)
2 tablespoons sugar or 2 tablespoons honey

Steps:

  • Boil 3 cups of water along with cinnamon, cardamom and cloves and pour over the tea. Leave to infuse over a very low flame for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, dissolve saffron in a little water by rubbing it gently.
  • Strain the tea and add the saffron liquid together with almonds.
  • Sweeten if you like and serve hot.

Green Tea - 4 tbsp
Saffron / Kesar - 4 pinches
Cardamom - 2 crushed
Cinnamon - 1 stick
Cloves - 2
Honey/Sugar (whichever your health prefers, i used honey ) - 2 tbsp
Almonds - 4-5
Water - 3 cups

Steps:

  • Boil three cups of water in a pan.
  • Once the water starts boiling add cinnamon, cardamom and cloves, add tea after 2 minutes and then boil the mix for about 10 minutes on low flame.
  • Meanwhile dissolve saffron with little water in a separate bowl.
  • Now strain the tea in a big bowl or a pitcher and add saffron water with almonds crushed/ sliced for a royal taste.
  • Add honey as per your taste and stir lightly till it get mixed properly.
  • Serve hot for better taste !!!

3 cups water
3 teaspoons green tea leaves (or tea bags)
1/2 inch cinnamon stick
3 green cardamoms (slightly crushed)
1 tablespoon dried rose petals
1/8 teaspoon saffron
7 almonds (sliced)

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients for kahwa. For brewing three cups of this tea you will need 3 cups of water, 3 teaspoons green tea leaves, 1/2 inch cinnamon sticks, 1 tablespoon dried rose petals, 3 green cardamoms, a fat pinch of saffron and 6-7 almonds.
  • Add 3 cups water to a saucepan or kettle and heat it. Add all the ingredients expect green tea leaves and almonds.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Let the ingredients boil well in water for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add green tea leaves and switch off the flame.
  • Cover the pan and let the tea steep for 2-3 minutes. For a strong green tea flavor you can steep for 5 minutes.
  • Strain the tea using a tea strainer.
  • Add slivered almonds and serve kahwa immediately.

2 cinnamon sticks (3 inches)
4 individual green tea bags
1/2 teaspoon minced fresh gingerroot
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest
4 cardamom pods, crushed
4 cups boiling water
2 tablespoons honey

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Add boiling water. Cover and steep for 5-6 minutes. Strain, discarding tea bags and spices. Stir honey into tea. Serve immediately.

5 cup water
3 inch cinnamon
4 - 5 cardamom
2 tsp kahwa leaves
2 tbsp saffron water
Sugar according to taste ( approx. 4 - 5 tbsp )

Steps:

  • Heat water in a pan.
  • Add cardamom and cinnamon.
  • Boil water for 5 - 7 minutes on medium high flame.
  • Turn off the flame.
  • Add sugar. Stir well till sugar gets dissolved.
  • Add kahwa tea leaves. Stir well. Cover the pan using lid.
  • Keep it aside for 5 - 7 minutes.
  • Strain the kahwa tea in another pan.
  • Add soaked saffron water. Stir well.
  • Pour the kashmiri style kahwa tea in glasses or tea mugs.
  • Garnish the kashmiri kahwa with blanched almonds or silvered almonds.
  • Serve warm during tea time and enjoy this healthy kahwa tea with your family and friends.
  • Note : You can replace the sugar with honey.
  • If you don't have kashmiri kahwa tea leaves, you regular green tea leaves.
